RBA: “Wages growth has picked up in response to the tight labour market and high inflation.”
Oddly the Reserve Bank of Australia seems not to know that real wages have fallen at a record pace. #auspol
RBA has hiked the cash rate to the highest level in 11 years, punishing mortgage holders & renters for an inflation crisis driven by corporate profiteering. It's well past time for the Fed Gov to use its existing powers to freeze interest rates & coordinate a freeze on rents.
The RBA noted that "services price inflation is still very high"
Sure, but tell me will rates rises bring down the prices of Medical & hospital services? Tertiary & secondary education?
Rents?
Other financial services? Insurance?
Great work, Phil.
The RBA has done it again, hiking interest rates to an 11 year high.
Business groups will be keen to blame wages, but remember, excess profits are the main culprit driving this inflation.

This article by @shanebazzi demonstrates how punitive and wrong Australia’s defamation laws are. What a terrible ordeal. This needs to change. https://t.co/vVbe7hCMN9
The use of defamation law to stifle expression of public opinion is devastating both for our democracy and for those targeted by the rich and powerful. Defamation law needs urgent reform, as does our expensive and slow court processes. Solidarity @shanebazzi
