by Henry Scott Holland. Actually not poet, and not a poem—this was taken from one of his speeches and, I guess, passed down as a poem. He was a divinity professor at oxford, died in 1918.
I am NOT a strict girlfriend tuu mna shame and I will never be 😂
Do what you want dawg. We’re grown and if you tell me you’re somewhere, that’s your business if you’re lying.
I’m not going to act like some crazy person and keep blowing up your phone to confirm your whereabouts.
On tv shows, I really don’t like when a woman’s refusal to have children is treated as a phase instead of a valid permanent choice.
6 seasons of a woman being child free by choice just to have her fall pregnant and have a baby in the 7th season.
Unfortunately this won’t unite us. Look at the war in Ukraine. In the middle of a war they found time and clarity to be racist toward Africans. Look at Covid. The closest humans have come to an enemy in recent history. We separated into vaxxers and anti vaxxers. We attacked each other over masks. I remember early in the pandemic posting a photo with a mask I had bought and someone attacking me for wearing the wrong mask and implying I was endangering and potentially killing others. We hoarded and fought over tissue paper. Look at 9/11. Did America unite over it? Or did they look for scapegoats among their own citizens?
An alien invasion will not stop human greed and selfishness. It will only make it worse. That is something we must fix without a common enemy.
