The longer I work in psychiatry, the more & more I'm reminded that poverty is one of the most harmful factors (if not the most harmful factor) affecting peoples' mental health.
Married domesticity fucking rocks bro,, we run our little errands & eat good home cooked meals & watch our little TV shows & fall asleep in each others arms every night 2 do it all over again & it never gets boring, it's just comfort + love in every facet of daily existence <3
In my 30 years on this earth, my consistent experience from being a very small child to now, is that if you treat homeless and/or panhandlers who talk to you on the street with basic dignity and respect, nothing bad ever happens.
@WordandWitness@KarlyShorter And OBGYN appointments are not covered by my insurance and I had to pay out of pocket because they are considered a “specialist” and not part of primary care
@WordandWitness@KarlyShorter It is extremely difficult to get an OBGYN appointment in SC, no matter where you are located. I’m in Richland County and had to wait almost 2 months to be seen for an appointment about urgent symptoms
