He made us believe that living for society is far more meaningful than living for oneself.

I am deeply grateful to the local family of Asansol for organising the unveiling of his statue and for honouring his memory and legacy, especially when I could not be there personally to be a part of the occasion.

Today, we unveil the statue of Late Shri Bijay Narayan Singh Ji.

For our family, this is a moment of remembrance and pride.

For the people who knew him, it is a moment to remember a man who spent much of his life standing with his people.

Today, he is not physically with us.

The Kaawar Yatra, the festivals, the community, and our family will all feel his absence but his presence lives on in the temple he built, the school he started, the traditions he strengthened and the people he helped.

In 2021, my father and I built this BJP party office with dreams in our eyes. @drnarottammisra Ji was supposed to inaugurate it, but before that could happen, bullets were fired at our house during the elections. The office remained shut for five long years.

I may have left Bengal, but today my small family in Burnpur sent me this picture, and it filled me with emotions words cannot express. If Papa were here today, he would have been smiling with pride.

For families like ours, politics was never about power or position. It was about belief, sacrifice, and standing for an ideology despite fear and violence. Today, seeing the BJP flag waving proudly in Bengal feels deeply personal and satisfying.

We do not need anything else now. This pride alone is enough.
