If you put your faith in god even when it seems like your whole world is coming apart, he will deliver! No one knows what’s best for you like your God.The trials are heartbreaking; but nothing makes me feel stronger than the ability to feel peace after my worst fears came true.
This is what feminism never talks about:
The daughters who grow up hearing they were the reason their mothers didn’t chase their dreams. I know I heard it from my own mother. How she never got to chase her dreams of college because she had me. Kids just like me, all over the world, who became symbols of missed degrees, stalled careers, and unfulfilled ambitions. Every time she looked at me she saw all the things she never got to do.
Children treated like obstacles instead of gifts.
Feminism told women that we were enslaved by motherhood. That our value was somewhere “out there”, in an office, a title, a diploma. Always out there, never in our homes, never with our families.
So now there’s a generation of children being raised by women who saw them as the death of their potential. Not as the blessings they are. This is what happens when you convince women that motherhood is a curse. You don’t just ruin womanhood. You poison the home. You raise children who grow up feeling like burdens, and what a cruel burden that is to place on a child.
Young women worry how they will get anything done if they have kids. The truth is that having kids makes you more efficient, not less.
When your time is limited, you stop wasting it. You make decisions faster. You cut meetings short. You delegate more. You have less patience for things that do not matter and more clarity about the things that do.
Motherhood sharpens your ability to prioritize because you no longer have the luxury of wasting time. Every hour counts.
There’s a big disconnect between parents and non parents about what it’s actually like to have a child because the hardships are describable but the joy is not.
My family used to tell me I was spoiling my babies by wearing them all the time and letting them nap on my chest in the carrier. I ignored them, obviously.
Contact napping is not a bad habit you are creating. It is the biological default. Cribs are a modern invention. For most of human history, babies slept on their mothers.
On your chest, your baby has your warmth, your heartbeat, the rise and fall of your breathing, and your smell. Their nervous system registers all of this as safe. In the crib they have a flat, still, cool surface with none of those inputs. That is why they wake up the second you put them down.
You are not spoiling a baby by holding them too much or contact napping. Anyone who tells you that is out of touch with reality.
People had children under FAR worse conditions. We don’t want to admit it but the reason most people aren’t having kids is because it involves sacrifice.
I tell myself everyday. just keep praying. Keep praying because a bad day isn't a bad life. Keep praying because if there's a will, there is always a way. Keep praying because God knows my heart and he knows I try. Just gotta keep praying. Praying. Praying.
Question: what’s the likelihood that people would continue to avoid having kids to travel more if they had no social media to share it with.
A more interesting question imo.
The key to living a comfortable life is confrontation and chaos actually. You have to say no. You have to tell people to fuck off. You have to be mean in necessary situations. A life of peace isn’t built off of being a yes man and taking a passive approach to everything
I just completely reject that we are wealthier than we were 20 or 30 years ago in any way that matters. Whatever data seems to show that we are is very clearly not measuring what you want to measure. I don’t think burrito taxis matter. I think the phones have made us miserable. I don’t think the advancements in communication are important. I don’t care that the cars have more features.
I don’t think any of this stuff matters like even a little bit.
And I certainly wouldn’t trade my country for more of it.
I think we long ago reached a level of comfort that’s sufficient. We aren’t hungry. We aren’t cold. We aren’t worked to death in fields.
I wouldn’t trade my family for more stuff. I wouldn’t trade my country for more stuff. The people who see all this so-called material wealth and think that the opportunity costs are just too large to have children or that we need to give away the country to foreigners to keep the train rolling are in my view demented, deranged, lost.
And their addiction to antidepressants and other mood-altering pills seems to confirm it.
The Bible is so clear on how important it is to never LOOK BACK. Not at an old position, an old ex, an old friendship, or even old ways that God has brought you out of. There are many people in the Bible but in clear words, God tells us to "remember Lot's wife"; who turned into a pillar of salt! Stuck in time. I pray that when you're tempted to "go back", He reminds you that you have so much to look forward to.
People don't seem to realize that before phones you would just not see people nor hear from them for months and it was just fine. It is not the default to have access to anyone 24/7, nobody owes you that access and you don't owe it to anybody.
