A misunderstanding has reportedly occurred between a police officer and a driver along the Psychiatric Hospital–Kanda highway after the driver refused to hand over his license, due to information he had seen on social media that motorists were not required to handover their physical driver’s licenses to police officers.

The refusal allegedly angered the officer, who attempted to forcibly seize the driver’s keys and allegedly made tribalistic remarks about him for being unable to express himself fluently in Twi.
