Asked for a GIF, Vusan sent the first hit of the search without reading even its title. A miss could not be turned down.
0.14 reads the titles it got back and picks one, or none of them.
I'd rather it sent nothing than the wrong GIF.

MIDletPascal is a Pascal for the J2ME phones of the 2000s. In 2016 I built ANPASIDE, an Android IDE for it, and I'm still at it.
On your phone it builds a J2ME jar, runs it in an emulator, or exports an APK.
Rebuilt in Kotlin and Compose this year.

Vusan spoke only when called. That's a tool in a group chat, not someone in it.
In 0.13 it can react to a message or drop a line with nobody asking. Off by default.
Mostly it stays out: in its first two days it wrote one line, the rest were reactions.

Vusan publishes the sites people ask it to build, and each one held its whole sandbox, disk included, until somebody took it down.
So in Regolith 0.6 I gave a site a term, and the disk goes while the page stays up.
A few static files don't need a Linux home behind them.
Regolith 0.6.0 gives a published site a term: 30 days from its first publish, unless the caller moves it. While it lasts, retention takes only the sandbox's home, which a live site used to hold on to.

In a group, Vusan needed a reply or a mention. People also just write "vusan, look at this", or "why?" after its answer, and those went unanswered.
0.12 answers both.
Only a message that names it or follows its reply goes to a model; the rest never does.

Not everything needs an agent. Three years before Vusan I started a plain Telegram bot for group chats: it answers, reads photos and draws on request, nothing more.
1.2.0 is out. One docker compose to host your own.

@neerajjj6785 Kotlin, which this list files under Java: same JVM, same libraries, less ceremony. Coroutines for the I/O and nulls the compiler catches before production does.
Every bot in that report is ✅ because of heartbeat, my small Kotlin library.
A bot's polling loop can die while the JVM lives on, and Docker still says "Up". heartbeat keeps a file fresh only while the loop runs, and the healthcheck reads its age.

After a reboot I used to tail logs and message each of my bots to see if they answer. So I built Varta.
It sends one Telegram message once the Docker stack settles, even when all is fine. Then it's quiet until something changes.
Kotlin, open source.

@kotlin Name-based destructuring is the right call. The catch is how close the two forms look: val (x, y) goes by position, (val x, val y) by name, and the only difference is where val sits.
Vusan 0.11: a message sent while it's still answering now waits its turn instead of being turned away.
It's answered next, already knowing what Vusan just said.
I write to it in bursts, like to anyone in Telegram, so this was overdue.
