#BitMart will list eCash (XEC) @eCashOfficial 🔥
Built by an experienced team of bitcoin developers who founded Bitcoin Cash, eCash is a fork of bitcoin with a more aggressive technical roadmap.
Guided by the academic vision of Milton Friedman, eCash aims to deliver on key blockchain scaling promises. An innovative Avalanche consensus layer and its own token layer are unique technical highlights of eCash. eCash also aims to introduce features never before seen in a Bitcoin project such as staking, fork-free network upgrades, and subchains.
XEC is the native token of the eCash network and has the following use cases. - Token minting: XEC holders can mint tokens with a custom name, supply, decimal places, and icon via the eCash platform. Users will need to pay for network transaction fees in XEC tokens. The eToken protocol also supports NFTs. - Staking: XEC token holders will be able to participate in Avalanche Staking, which will be a part of eCash governance.

$XEC Says A Tiny Pacific Island Beats U.S. to First Official Stablecoin
🔹 Tinian, population 2,000, launches America’s first government-backed stablecoin, $MUSD, thanks to forward-thinking local legislators tired of waiting on federal bureaucracy.
🔹 Built on the @eCash blockchain, MUSD is fully USD-backed, and designed for use in regulated online gaming—real-world utility rather than DC hot air.
🔹 With federal crypto regulation stuck in purgatory, tiny Tinian sets a blueprint for local jurisdictions taking financial innovation into their own hands.
📢 It’s official: The first-ever US government-issued stablecoin, the Marianas US Dollar $MUSD, has been minted on the eCash $XEC blockchain. The ceremony took place in Tinian, at the House of Taga ancestral site.
DeFi systems are taking root through local governance! 🔥

eCash’s Hybrid PoW-PoS: Gold-Like Security
Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work (PoW) security faces long-term risks as block rewards fade, while pure Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems risk centralization. eCash (XEC), a Bitcoin Cash fork, uses a hybrid PoW-PoS model with Avalanche, integrated in September 2022, offering gold-like security. Followings highlight eCash’s simplicity, robustness, and value as a store of value and medium of exchange.
Bitcoin’s PoW: A Ticking Clock
Bitcoin’s miners earn ~471.6 BTC daily ($48.57M at $103,000/BTC), just 0.0024% of its $2.03T market cap. By 2140, with no new issuance, security will rely on fees. If fees don’t scale, declining hash rate could weaken Bitcoin, despite its current domination.
Gold’s Security Model
Gold’s value is secured by holders protecting their assets in safes or vaults. As value rises, security scales and distributes across holders, making control by one entity nearly impossible. eCash’s hybrid model mirrors this, blending PoW’s Sybil resistance with PoS’s stake-based protection.
eCash’s Hybrid PoW-PoS with Avalanche
eCash uses PoW for block production and Avalanche’s PoS for pre-consensus and finality. Stakers (minimum 100M XEC) vote instantly via randomized, off-chain polling, weighted by stake, to finalize blocks in seconds. Stake proofs and finalized blocks are on-chain, ensuring transparency. Since 2022, 79 nodes and 210.3B XEC staked support the network.
Simplicity and Robustness
Unlike complex pure PoS (e.g., Ethereum’s validator management), eCash’s PoW is straightforward, and Avalanche’s PoS is lightweight, focusing on finality. If Avalanche fails, PoW ensures continuity, enhancing robustness. Attackers need both 51% of staked XEC and 51% hash rate, a steep barrier.
Mitigating PoS Risks
Pure PoS risks 51% stake censorship. eCash’s dual attack requirement and PoW fallback prevent this, with on-chain outcomes exposing censorship attempts.
Gold-Like Security
eCash scales security with value, as stakers lock more XEC, and PoW deters Sybil attacks. Staking is efficient, unlike gold’s costly storage, yet equally decentralized.
Store of Value and Medium of Exchange
eCash’s increasing security and sustainability make it a strong store of value. Avalanche’s sub-second finality and low fees enable instant payments, ideal for transactions.
Conclusion
eCash’s hybrid PoW-PoS, with Avalanche’s instant voting, offers simpler, robust security than pure PoS and a sustainable alternative to Bitcoin. Like gold, it’s a durable store of value and efficient medium of exchange.
