When Albert Ojwang died, Raymond Omollo’s troll firm was deployed to tell Kenyans that no such person existed. They wanted to erase his existence.

Now the same people are suddenly very interested in justice.

Why.........?

What changed between denying Albert’s existence and pretending to care about accountability?

Kenyans still deserve to know why Sh30 million every month is being used to fund a troll operation with an office inside the Office of the President.

Who approved it, who receives the money, what public work has it produced and why was its first instinct to deny the existence of a dead Kenyan?

I am shocked by the sudden honesty from the State over the death of Albert Ojwang, including the recovery of CCTV footage and the speed at which some details are now being released to the public.

Whenever the State becomes this open in a case involving powerful people, I immediately ask myself whether they are preparing to sacrifice a small fish so that the person who gave the orders remains protected.

The Star reported that Albert was at one point removed from Central Police Station and taken to Karura, where he was said to have met a senior police official before being tortured, collapsing and causing panic among those involved.

This sudden honesty now begins to connect the dots, because the State may be showing Kenyans the final part of the story while carefully keeping attention away from who ordered Albert’s removal, who was waiting in Karura and why he was taken there.

When the State shows you something and tells you something, do not only look at what they have presented, always ask what they are hiding, who they are preparing to blame and which bigger person they are trying to protect.

I don’t like @rigathi’s toxic and petty politics. I’ve disliked it since I found him at the University of Nairobi in 1986 singing “KANU and Moi Juu, Juu Kabisa!”

But as a man who is fully committed to fairness, justice and the rule of law, I believe that the Court’s ruling today was predetermined, is legally unsound and factually faulty. It should be overturned on appeal.

The impeachment of Gachagua was not conducted fairly, was unjustly rushed and was motivated by parochial personal differences with @WilliamsRuto. The court ought to have nullified it.
