#BangChan became famous worldwide as the leader, lead Vocalist, lead Rapper, Dancer and Producer of the chart-topping, record-breaking, history-making Iconic Band #StrayKids, the Biggest selling K-Pop Act currently in the US! He takes center stage in the group's choreography, reflecting his extensive dance training and has significantly influenced the group's musical direction by writing, composing, and producing the majority of their songs. He has so far registered credits 194 on songs with the Korea Music Copyright Association!

Bang Chan is famous for his honey sweet voice, and sings like an Angel after beginning his music career in his school choir! He is also an amazing professional Dancer, having trained in ballet and modern dance at the Newtown High School of Performing Arts in Australia where he lived till the age of 13 before moving to Korea after passing the 2010 JYP Entertainment Global Audition to become a trainee. He also swam competitively, winning several medals. Bang Chan met future bandmates #Han and #Changbin while taking MIDI classes and in 2016 they formed the hip-hop group #3RACHA! Bang Chan uploaded their first mixtape, 'J:/2017/mixtape', to SoundCloud in January 2017 and that same year, he took part in JYP Entertainment's survival show called 'Stray Kids', playing a key role in forming the group, selecting the trainees, choosing the group's name, and designing their logo. In early 2018, Stray Kids released their first pre-debut album EP Mixtape featuring the group's self-composed songs from the survival show. Bang Chan officially debuted as the leader of Stray Kids on March 25, 2018, and flew the band to his homeland Australia as part of their first variety show, 'Finding SKZ'. He and #Hyunjin's first collaborative sub-unit track "Red Lights", debuted at #30 on the Circle Download chart and was included in Stray Kids' 2nd studio album, 'NoEasy' becoming one of the group's top 20 most-streamed songs! He also took part in the soft rock track "Waiting For Us" with #LeeKnow, #Seungmin & #IN, which featured on 'Oddinary' (2022) and debuted at #25 on the Circle Download Chart! In 2020, he featured on #Changbin's track "Streetlight", and released his own self-composed solo track "I Hate to Admit" via the SKZ-RECORD series. In 2021, he featured on I.N.'s solo song "Maknae on Top" with Changbin and released a cover of Taylor Swift's "ME!" with #Twice's #Tzuyu. He also released "Drive" that year with Lee Know, followed by "Zone" with Han for the SKZ-Replay album, and his self-composed solo track "Connected". He received critical acclaim for the song "3RACHA", which he co-wrote and co-composed and which debuted at #36 on the Circle Download Chart, ranking 14th on NME's year-end list. As part of 3RACHA, he also co-wrote, composed, and performed "Heyday" for the 'Street Man Fighter' soundtrack. Bang Chan has also composed for various TV series, including 'Pop Out Boy!', 'Tower of God', and 'Arcane', and for the films 'Doraemon: Nobita's Sky Utopia' and 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. He has also written tracks for #JO1, #YaoChen, and #ShowLo and collaborated with #Alesso, the Japanese singer #LiSA, #SkyHi, #TigerJK & #LilDurk! He is also an amazing TV host, and in July 2024, he and #Felix hosted the radio series 'All About Stray Kids Radio' on Apple Music Radio, interviewing #RyanReynolds and #HughJackman for Deadpool & Wolverine in Seoul, South Korea, as part of a promotional event for Marvel Korea.

Bang Chan has won numerous awards as part of Stray kids and also several awards for his own solo work, including Best Hip Hop Video at the MTV VMAs Japan 2022 for his work on the track "Just Breathe" and Best Creator Award with Han & Changbin at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards for his contribution as a songwriter and producer! Billboard ranked Bang Chan 2nd in their 2024 K-Pop Artist 100!

Bang Chan is a Fashion Icon and in February 2024, he made his solo debut on the cover of Nylon Japan's special edition themed "One Love, One Life," featuring Swarovski's jewelry with his own double cover, emphasizing his role as the leader of Stray Kids! In May, he made his Met Gala debut with the group as a guest of Tommy Hilfiger and appeared on the cover of W Korea's Volume 6, showcasing Fendi's summer capsule collection. In June he made his solo debut at Milan Fashion Week, wowing at Fendi's 2025 Spring/Summer men's fashion show & generating $3.43 million in Earned Media Value (EMV), making him the fifth most influential figure at the event!

Bang Chan is also an active philanthropist, and in 2021, he took part in JYP Entertainment's 'Every Dream Matters'(EDM) with TWICE's #Sana and company founder #ParkJinYoung, promoting various charitable projects for children battling terminal and incurable illnesses. In 2023 he co-hosted the 4th 'EDM Day' with Park and TWICE's #Jihyo, taking part in the 'Love Earth' Challenge campaign. In August 2023 Bang Chan performed with 3RACHA at the annual Global Citizen Festival, and addressed the need for social change and an end to world poverty!
