Horrible! A 26-yr-old MBBS student, Ratan Megwal, died by suicide in Rajkot after jumping in frnt of train. He was a student at AIIMS Rajkot and belonged to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

In his suicide note, he alleged mental & physical harassment by fellow castiest upper caste students.

He had previously attempted suicide in January after going missing, but was found and brought back.

This tragic incident once again highlights how Dalit students often face caste-based discrimination and harassment in institutions.

Update on Rishabh & Virat, We’re happy to share that we’ve paid their school fees and provided all educational materials.

They were unable to attend school due to unpaid fees. Their mother, a daily wage laborer, came to us for help.
