Surviving childhood cancer is just the beginning of the journey. Childhood cancer survivors face side effects from treatment that can emerge at any time, even when the world might believe their cancer journey is over. Research is focused on finding safer, less toxic treatments, understanding the impact of cancer on kids as they grow, and providing specialized health care services to survivors.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation offers its Childhood Cancer Guide for Survivors as an essential resource for families and survivors. Get the guide here: https://t.co/ZqNR1mUDQI 💛
@NFLHuddleUp@Raiders@ProFootballHOF They deserved to win a Superbowl together. What are the odds they play against the coach who created their offense?
This week's featured childhood cancer hero is Chris Ramirez!
Chris loves baseball – he has a history of playing for his high school team and is a longtime fan of the San Francisco Giants. However, when he was in high school, Chris began having strange symptoms. Then he had a stroke and couldn't feel the left side of his body. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy, and today, Chris is a three-time survivor of glioblastoma.

@jenteach13 The big one is there are no consequences for misbehaving.
Another one that is happening is an exploratory curriculum with not mastering anything.
Another is a lock of memorization and practice
Don’t miss “the stand that started it all.” 🙌

@BasedRedWolf Everything is exploring now in math curriculums. So now the kids get to explore and try out their own strategy. They practice it the wrong way and adopt it which makes things worse. Memorization and practice is necessary.
@MrDanielBuck I used to argue this with my principal a while ago. You're actually doing that child a diservice because they will not be prepared for the real world.

Throughout #NationalCancerSurvivorsMonth we celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of every child who has faced cancer.
You can make a difference, every day, for kids with cancer by donating to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and helping fund cutting-edge research. Your support helps fund the future, where survivorship is truly the end of childhood cancer.
All it takes is a pitcher of lemonade. 🍋
Courtney Smith learned from Alex’s story that every cup counts when fighting childhood cancer and went out to make her own impact. During Lemonade Days in the month of June, you can sign up to host your own stand to support kids with cancer, one cup at a time.
This nationwide fundraising event continues our founder Alex’s dream that a lemonade stand can cure cancer, and with every cup our stand hosts pour, the more that dream grows. But we can only do it with YOUR help.
Sign up your lemonade stand fundraiser today and you’ll receive an online event page where we show you how to log the cups you serve, as well as a Cup Tracker sheet and other stand resources in our free Lemonade Days kits.
