@DellCares Yeah, especially when older version of the graphics driver and a bad bios is force pushed with windows updates killing a lot of features and performance of the Dell G5 15 SE 5505, I couldn't imagine a company like dell could do stuff like this, the performance is around 25% lower
@bitwitkyle My old laptop had this, it was fine for a few weeks then suddenly I had a ton of dead pixels on my screen to the point that the screen became unusable
@koushik787 @Dell@DellCares @sirsquishy79 The worst part is keeping this laptops track record in mind we kinda need to buy the warranty at these absurd prices too, as this laptop can die anytime, I was facing crashes dell's fix force update a bios which I explicitly refused to install and reduce the performance by a lot.
@sirsquishy79 @AssasinBM@DellCares@LinusTech@GamersNexus@JarrodsTech Well Dell slowing down laptops without our intent, you know which company did similar stuff? Apple with iPhone 6s, @Dell@AMD are you guys begging for bad PR?? Slowing down laptops weeks before a new model is released thats Shady AF
@LinusTech@GamersNexus you should cover this.
@LinusTech With the kioxia and Hynix ssd dell shipped with its G5 SE 5505 we actually need to watercool them to not touch 90c, its no joke, dell shipped laptop with ssds which touch 90c and crash the system lol
@mooreslawisdead Well dell launched a similar laptop last year called the G5 15 SE 5505, with an rx 5600m and it shows similar results, the performance is hampered by a lot of shady stuff dell did with this laptop too
@vedantsawant24@DellCares@Dell This laptop is fun, if you like excessive troubleshooting and hit and trial, its just been 1 and a half months since I bought this laptop and just had issues since then, already had to get two parts replaced, now my ssd is overheating causing system crashes, smartshift is bad too
