With pride and fervour, STPI celebrates the National Flag Day today to commemorate the Constituent Assembly's historic 1947 adoption of the Tiranga, our tricolour. 🇮🇳

National Flag Adoption Day (or National Flag Day) is observed annually on 22nd July, marking the day when the Constituent Assembly officially adopted the design of the Tiranga. Designed by Pingali Venkayya, the flag consists of three horizontal stripes, namely deep saffron (symbolising courage and sacrifice), white (which stands for peace and truth), and dark green (symbolising faith and fertility), with the 24-spoke wheel navy-blue Ashoka Chakra at its center, representing the "Wheel of Duty" (Dharma Chakra), for righteous conduct, constant progress and the eternal motion of time. 💫
