The NATO-Ukraine Council met in Kyiv 🇺🇦 for the first time
While in Kyiv, @SecGenNATO highlighted the presence of all 32 Allies in Ukraine as a strong sign of the enduring bond between the Alliance and 🇺🇦 ↓ https://t.co/lIUIsV9yQc
If you do not personally come to the conclusion that it is time to end this war, Ukraine will continue fighting for its existence. We will have those who support us.
But you, too, will have to fight much harder for your own existence — not Russia’s, but your own. And this is not a threat from me or from Ukraine. It is a fact of Russian history that you know well: when Russia grows tired, change comes.
We can work toward that fatigue.
You can stop your war.
Eternal memory to all those whose lives were taken by this war.
Glory to Ukraine!
Yesterday, I received a report on the losses of your army on the front in Ukraine during May. Once again, the number exceeded 30,000 Russian soldiers killed and seriously wounded. We have been maintaining that level month after month, and we have video confirmation of every one of your losses — these are not empty claims.
We know that 63 percent of your battlefield losses are killed, while only 37 percent are wounded. In the 21st century, no army can afford such a ratio. And the share of those killed will continue to grow.
It is not as if we in Ukraine are concerned about the fate of Russian soldiers after everything your war has brought to our country.
But I do care about Ukrainians.
Moscow is killing our children. No words in the world can ever ease this unbearable pain and horror.
According to official figures alone, Russia has taken the lives of 707 Ukrainian children. Another 2,548 have been wounded and maimed by explosions. More than 20,000 have been abducted and forcibly taken from their homes. These are just dry numbers, but each one represents a lifetime of pain for a Ukrainian family.
Today, June 4, is the Day of Remembrance for Children Killed as a Result of Russia’s Armed Aggression Against Ukraine.
Everything the Russians are doing amounts to genocide. It is a systematic and clearly planned attempt to destroy the Ukrainian nation. They deliberately target our children, committing war crimes for which there can be no justification. They are destroying our history, our memory, and trying to physically kill our future.
We will never forgive the Russians for this. There is no and will never be any justification or forgiveness for crimes committed against our children. Everyone who gave these orders and everyone who carried them out will be found and destroyed. The ground will burn beneath your feet wherever you try to hide.
There are no words that can comfort parents whose lives have been shattered forever by Russian killers. But we have a duty: to bring home every abducted child and to do everything to ensure that the truth about these crimes is heard around the world.
Eternal memory to the innocent victims of Russian terror.
Glory to Ukraine!
‼️After hitting a clearly marked UN convoy recently, Russia again hit a clearly marked Ambulance in Kherson, with, an FPV drone, deliberately attacking civilians.
Washington Changes Its Tune: Billions More for Ukraine
For the first time since Donald Trump returned to office, Congress has made significant progress on a new Ukraine aid package.
The House voted 218–204 to advance the bill, which includes $8 billion in military loans for Kyiv, an extension of military assistance through 2027, and new sanctions on Russia. Notably, several Republicans have played a key role in pushing the legislation forward.
The final vote is expected later today.
Overnight, Ukrainian attack drones successfully hit one of the Russian Svetlyak-class patrol boats guarding the Crimean Bridge.
Seen here, onboard footage as the Ukrainian FP-1/2 slams into the Svetlyak’s superstructure.
The Trump administration has done more to prolong this war than end it. There has been no serious effort to secure a just peace, only pressure on Ukraine to make concessions while Putin is offered the best deal possible.
At the same time, the “business as usual” approach risks normalising and whitewashing Russia’s actions despite years of documented war crimes, attacks on civilians, torture, and the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children.
I hope the final vote is in favour. 🙏🇺🇦🇺🇸
Putin is in danger. He knows it.
St Petersburg is on fire during the first day of his international economic summit. His military is taking 30,000 casualties a month and has made zero meaningful gains in over six months. Trump has quit the "peace talks" admitting he cannot find a way to force Ukraine to surrender as Putin has always wanted.
Keep calm and stay the course. Ukraine's military and diplomatic strategy is working. Russia will be defeated.
@FT normalising and whitewashing Russia’s actions despite years of documented war crimes, attacks on civilians, torture, and the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children.
It’s sickening 🤮
Rep. Keating to Rubio: "I'm sure you're aware that Ukraine, country that at the time had third-largest nuclear arsenal, peacefully turned over their nuclear weapons in conjunction with Budapest Memorandum.
And in exchange for U.S. commitment to defend Ukraine if it ever came under threat. The U.S. gave its word to Ukraine that it would defend them.
And I find this amazing. In your opening remarks, as you took us all over the world and mentioned 15 different incidents where you have interceded — 15, the top 15 — not once did you mention Ukraine when you were prioritizing achievements that are there."
