TODAY is WORLD Duchenne Awareness day will you join our small community in raising awareness about what Duchenne is ??
Ethanโs been living with Duchenne since birth but the last number of years have really seen it take its toll on him.
He has lost the power to walk and is now losing the power in his arms. Just last night he finally had to give up trying to lift a hamburger to his mouth as he no longer has the muscle strength to do this simple task.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a genetic disorder characterized by the progressive loss of muscle. It is a multi-systemic condition, affecting many parts of the body, which results in deterioration of the skeletal, heart, and lung muscles. Duchenne is caused by a change in the dystrophin gene.
Let turn social media red with awareness day pics and make everyone aware of all those fighting Duchenne Muscular dystrophy !!!!
