@Andercot The notion of airships being luxury flying ocean liners was never particularly true, though. They were, for their, reasonably comfortable. Still, passenger airships only lasted as long as they did because of those willing to accept inconvenience to across the ocean twice as fast.
@Rust_ranger57 Well, my numbers are definitely off somewhere, especially given that I didn’t count Mercury’s suborbital hops. Now I gotta break out my spaceflight history books… : P
@Rust_ranger57 By my (likely bad numbers), 185 crewed orbital launches (assuming you count Challenger’s last flight, along with every crewed Dragon flight, but don’t count American crew launched aboard Soyuz).
@TheBushArchive This looks to have taken place in Room 227 of the White House - the Stair Hall, facing North-Northwest toward Stair No. 1, with the pocket doors open to 228 - the Center Hall.
@jasperskatess This brings up an interesting question about whether or not proprioception during a jump is screwed up by a ship’s rolling motion.
Like, theatrical performances have to be canceled in bad seas, mainly so the performers won’t fall into the orchestra pit.
@SmthngnotNthng@RocketshipArts I got *very* lucky with lighting and angles (and with Malinin seeming to play to my camera a lot : P ) It was a really lovely experience!
@LaocoonofTroy This during the brief period the ship was emblazoned with the hakenkreuz against a red field on one side and the tricolor on the other. The new national flag was quickly adopted on both sides, on a vertical stripe, and then in 1936 as smaller flags to match the new Hindenburg.
@34db1tch I did a bit although they initially said no video for Stargazers. I actually flew across the US to go to it (only M&G not sold out), and having a small arena was great, and everyone was friendly! That’s me in the white trying to take pics and an iPhone video at the same time : P
@MalininAirlines@suggestme_name Athletes have access to the Athletes’ Stand at their competition venues. It’s what the big “A” at the bottom of their accreditation lanyards is for.
@wannasalad@34db1tch Hey, I have like 14,000 photos from Wenatchee (Rocketship Arts is my photography account), I'm just taking forever to sort through all of them : P
