@DrRobgalloway Most of these prevention solutions are outside the NHS remit. It must be woven into transport policy, employment legislation,town planning. Policy direction and legislation in the right places will save millions in the nhs but we need to stop considering health in the NHS silo.

@LizzyFerret In addition, trusts are implementing the roles differently. I thonk the NMC and the PA needs to limit the scope of practice for these roles to ensure they support and supplement existing models of care rather than replace the role of the doctor.

@LizzyFerret I think part of the issue is the NMC don't have a handle on the advanced practice roles. If you take 8 different ANP's they will all have a different scope of practice and thus different limitations without the standardization full medical school and further training provides.
