On This Day 23 years ago:
The Houston #Texans played their first ever regular season game and defeated the Dallas Cowboys 19-10. Who could forget. #HTownMade
ESPN rules analyst Russell Yurk: "It looked like that first contact was to the upper chest area. I didn't see anything there that supported a foul."
Troy Aikman: "I agree with you, Russell. From that angle there, I don't see helmet-to-helmet... A big-time penalty." #NFL
@KevinDunn01 I agree. Either should have been yes on both or no on both. I just think if they are going to dwell on the Taffe hit, they should at least bring up the Bond hit.
Unsurprising. NFL is a max punishment of players league to pretend they care about health and safety
3 Texans games in 11 days against Dolphins, Chiefs, Ravens arguably is a much greater health hazard to players than anything Al-Shaair did but can’t suspend league office ha
Last year was Sam Houston's first year as an FBS team. They started off 0-8 with many of their losses in overtime or within 1 score.
Since then they're now 8-2, and are tied for the most wins in FBS this season, as one of just 6 teams with 5 wins.
@FanDuel Lot of disrespect for Texas QBs. Vince is arguably the best college football player of all time. Colt McCoy held the record for most wins by a qb for awhile. Cam at 2 above Tebow and Vince is absurd.
@SpaceCityHN@JuliaMorales@astros So then who qualifies as Hot Rod that will eventually become Rodimus Prime? Not that I’m a transformers nerd or anything.
