SONY we loved was zenith of innovation, had killer exclusives, respected players and fixed their mistakes!
SONY today is a faceless corporation for investors, suffocating from Californication🌈 syndrome!
NO DISC💿 = NO BUY
Increíble la lógica de la industria: te venden un trozo de plástico con un código en la caja con el producto principal, pero para el soundtrack sí te venden el CD y el Vinilo en físico.
Prioridades, supongo. 🤡💿
A number of Blu-ray-related patents for Sony will be expiring between 2026 and 2031, ending their ability to collect royalties on physical movie and video game discs🚀
This means audiences will be forced to rely exclusively on streaming platforms, if physical media is entirely phased out.
Blu-Rays and UHD Blu-Rays have a noticeably superior quality compared to digital/streaming counter parts, as the latter suffers lower video and audio quality due to higher compression.
So once again, this isn’t about nostalgia, this is about Sony taking away:
❌Quality
❌Ownership
❌Competitive pricing
❌Preservation
Sony has recently removed 500 movies from users’ purchases list without compensation.
They are actively ruining our gaming and viewing experiences, while masquerading it as “the future”, and we MUST NOT BE SILENT.
We speak out, seek the law, and vote on laws that prevent a single company from destroying art and entertainment, due to the greed of their CEOs and shareholders.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
(Special thanks to @Pirat_Nation for their research into the matter)
Hugh Jackman, when asked what he thinks about Insomniac’s Wolverine game:
“I mean, if there’s ever a time I wish I wasn’t Wolverine, this would be it. The videos I’ve seen are so embarrassing.”
Sony's plan to drop physical media has sparked global outrage across mainstream media and gaming events🚀
✅Physical games continue to sell millions worldwide (often 40% to 50%+ of total sales in UK, France, Australia and Japan for Resident Evil Requiem and others), proving they are far from niche.
✅Over 60% of countries lack a PlayStation Store, and the platform blocks region changes, locking international users out.
✅Digital libraries are vulnerable to sudden removals without compensation, permanent account bans, server outages, and region-locked codes.
✅Going all-digital kills the used games market, eliminates retail competition, and drives prices up.
✅Publishers manipulate data by bundling microtransactions and DLC into “digital sales” to fake a decline in physical demand.
✅With hardware projected to hit $1,000, multi-year gaps between exclusives, and PC offering better freedom, dropping discs gives players little reason to buy consoles.
Physical media must be preserved, because it means:
1️⃣Preservation
2️⃣Ownership
3️⃣Not tied accounts
4️⃣Second hand market and trading
5️⃣Competitive pricing
Not to mention books, vinyl, and Blu-rays continue to be produced, despite the existence of a far more cost effective and convenient digital alternative.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
⚠️ Nintendo pide calma, repondrán las consolas y mandos de Zelda incluso DESPUÉS de su lanzamiento en todas las tiendas… Habrá mas que otras veces.
Traducido: no compren a especuladores. Paciencia.
Lo que SI es limitado es la portada foil del juego, solo primeras reservas.
Sony said you don't own your games… but we have all the receipts.
After Sony recently argued in court that “reasonable consumers” understand they don't actually own their digital games, fans have started compiling every example they can find where PlayStation used language suggesting otherwise.
The Consumer Rights Wiki has now documented dozens of examples of Sony using phrases like “games you own” and “you already own” across PlayStation's own websites and services.
That evidence is being collected as part of the wider backlash surrounding Sony's digital ownership policies and the ongoing lawsuit over how PlayStation presents digital game purchases.
Sony's legal argument hasn't been decided by a court yet, but gamers clearly aren't letting the company's older wording disappear.
Do you think Sony's old “you own” wording will come back to haunt them?
Sony argues players shouldn’t believe they own digital games. Yet its own support pages repeatedly call them “games you own.” That could become awkward in court.
Sony is taking away the PSN ID of a user who had it for 12 years, forcing a name change🚀
Not only can they take away the games you “purchase” but also your user ID.
This company needs a reset. Take your money where it’s valued.
They are NOTHING without us💿
