@cal_gif I suggest waiting a little longer so science still talks about you well beyond Twitter seizes to exist. In the meantime enjoy what you keep hostage from science
The Georgia law enables voter suppression and election overturning. Even if people overcome obstacles and vote, the ease of voter challenge and transferring power to partisans at the state level, would enable the vote to be overturned. Heck of an anti-democracy one-two punch.
What if Chuck Schumer brought to the floor next week legislation that would guarantee the right of Americans to offer food and water to their fellow citizens in line for federal elections?
Historians will cite this piece as evidence of the moment mainstream conservatism chose to go all in for an agenda of election nullification and voter suppression. Voter suppression is now a--perhaps the-- core agenda item of today's conservative movement.

Tripping while running up the stairs to Air Force One is embarrassing. Tripping while running the response to COVID is deadly. I would argue the latter story should be a bigger headline.
Whoa. A live caller poll of likely TX voters, conducted by Republican pollster @PerkinsRRP, finds 86% of Texans thought the 2020 elections went well, 97% had a good experience voting, and 73% (58% of Republicans) support extending early voting by a week.

The House has passed the stimulus. The President is expected to sign the bill on Friday.
I am walking to the Senate floor where I will vote to confirm Merrick Garland as AG.
Vaccines will be available to Georgians 55 years and older starting next week.
Progress.
The House passed the American Rescue Plan Act again -- after the Senate passed its version. Now, it’ll be sent to President Biden. This bill will provide support to American families and fund unemployment insurance, stimulus checks, vaccines, state aid, and other provisions.
To folks who say their vote doesn’t matter, just look at what’s happening in Georgia right now.
Your vote is powerful, and if it wasn’t, politicians wouldn’t be trying to make it harder for you to vote. We must stand together to protect voting rights.
Women shouldn't be bullied for how they wear their hair, if/how they do their makeup, for wanting to feel beautiful, whatever that means for them. I used to never wear makeup, but that doesn't make it wrong that I do now. Done up or down, I'm still me. #nomakeupselfie
