@lorcanucy A lot of his posters follow this build, which is pretty damn iconic. It's really cool to see the art nods in Lorcana. Tbh, one of my favorite cards is still the aurora waking beauty that feels like such an hommage to eyvind earle, I really wish we had gotten an art of bookinstead
De toute façon le monde va mal depuis qu'ils ne sont plus là : Myths and heroes, Lugares y formas de poder, The Idea of Progress, Espacios y intercambios
115 years ago today, 146 workers — mostly young Jewish and Italian immigrant women — burned or jumped to their deaths at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory.
The doors were locked so management could check their bags for stolen goods. The owners were acquitted.
The Yiddish poet Morris Rosenfeld, known as the “poet laureate of the slum and the sweatshop,” wrote in a poem days later:
"On this Sabbath
When an avalanche of red blood and fire
Pours forth from the god of gold on high
As now my tears stream forth unceasingly.
Damned be the rich!
Damned be the system!
Damned be the world!"
That rage built the labor movement. We carry it forward.
I fully believe “separate the art from the artist” is only applicable when said artist is either dead or financially removed from their art.
You can’t act neutral when you’re literally lining their pockets by supporting their work.
