📽️ Works and Transport Minister Fred Byamukama has met Kampala Lord Mayor Ronald Balimwezo and KCCA officials to discuss measures to ease traffic congestion and improve roads in Kampala. Byamukama said the Government plans to begin construction of the Bombo Expressway next year and has secured sh40b for separate lanes connecting the Entebbe Expressway from Busega Roundabout to Bwaise and Kampala Roundabout.

Balimwezo said only 35% of roads in Kampala are tarmacked, describing the state of many roads as poor. He also called for a three-month grace period for taxi operators as the Government implements measures to improve transport in the city.
