To point out the obvious, he didn't complete a "portion" of a "mission." He was thoroughly repudiated by Angelenos because it turns out that a campaign driven by AI slop videos, an endorsement from noted pedophile Donald Trump, and putting forward no real policy platform is a recipe for electoral humiliation.
The fact that he's bragging about "slaying" and "ridiculing" people drives home what an unqualified manchild he is. Insulting people online has nothing to do with good governance. But of course, that's all Republicans have these days. Their political movement has resulted in a stagnant economy, skyrocketing inflation, and another Middle East military quagmire. All they have left is vulgarity and cruelty.
"And I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I'd like to take the chance to apologize to absolutely nobody. You think you can get rid of me that easily?" Pratt continued. "I know a lot of dimwitted jerks thought I was in this for a grift, that I was going to roll up and leave town if I didn't get into City Hall."
"Hey morons, I didn't get in this for political power," said Pratt, who got into this for attention.
Growing more visibly agitated as he went, Spencer went on to attack the two Democrats who defeated him in the primary, calling them "morons," "demons" and "commie animals," further proving that all he has left are playground bully barbs.
An easy rule of thumb: Once a conservative starts throwing around the phrase "communist" you know they've run out arrows in their quiver. Nithya Raman is a Democratic Socialist and Karen Bass is an establishment Democrat. Neither is a communist, but we've seen this playbook for decades now from Fox News and other reactionary outlets. When everything is "communist," nothing is.
"You have no idea how many major developers, hoteliers, business owners, entrepreneurs have been texting me saying they're packing up and leaving town," said Pratt, deploying the shopworn "trust me bro" strategy. "More of your favorite restaurants will be shuttering. That means less tax revenue."
None of that will actually happen. Pratt is leaning into the deranged myth that exists in Republican spheres which asserts that all Democratic-run cities are crime-infested hellholes. Believing that narrative requires that one never venture into the city.
"I want all of you awake at night, sweating and worried about 5am when an FBI blazer busts in the door, breaking open your office, because I assure you, they're coming," Pratt added.
"You think your election was going to stop me? If you want to stop me, you're going to have to f*cking kill me!" he concluded.
Dear. Lord. To think that some people actually believed that this lunatic could be trusted to run America's second largest city...

BREAKING: Lunatic Trump threatens to strip D.C.’s democracy and “take back” the city if voters elect a Mamdani-style Democrat!
In a stunning display of authoritarian hubris, Donald Trump just threatened to revoke Washington D.C.’s home rule and “take back” the city if Democratic socialist candidate Janeese Lewis George wins Tuesday’s mayoral primary.
When asked how he would feel if Lewis George – who is running on progressive policies – becomes the Democratic nominee, Trump replied:
“Well, I wouldn’t like it. And maybe we’d take back Washington and run it on the federal basis. We won’t put up with it.”
Trump is making a direct threat to override the will of D.C. voters simply because Trump doesn’t like their choice. Lewis George fired back immediately, calling it what it is:
“Threatening Home Rule because you do not like how residents vote is an attack on democracy itself. The people of DC elect the mayor of DC.”
Her opponent Kenyan McDuffie and another candidate Rini Sampath also condemned Trump’s comments, with McDuffie declaring that “DC decides who will be the next mayor, not Donald Trump.”
Ever since his first term, the racist Trump has wanted to poach authority away from the black-majority nation’s capital and run the city like a tyrannical dictator.
He loves to talk about freedom, but the second a city (or state) leans too progressive, he uses every lever of power at his disposal to compromise the democratic process, for which he clearly has no respect.
Behavior like this makes it clear that under Trump, votes only matter if they engender the result he wants. If not, he’ll claim the election is rigged, or failing that, find a way to punish the victor.
Again, Trump is showing that he is at heart un-American, which it need not be said is completely unacceptable.
But the tide is turning, and the midterms will hobble his malevolent administration until the 2028 elections finally rid us of Trumpism from sea to shining sea.
BREAKING: BRAVO! James Talarico demolishes Ted Cruz for smearing him as not "masculine" enough to win in Texas by listing all of the things that "real men" never do.
And Cruz does every single one of them...
"Ted Cruz basically said he wouldn't use the word 'masculine' to describe you,'" Jen Psaki said to Talarico on MS NOW. "It seems pretty clear what they're trying to do here, at least to me. Not only are they going after you, but they're really trying to attack groups of people you've defended in the past, including trans people and others. What do you make of that?"
In addition to Cruz's pathetic smear, Trump's pet fascist Stephen Miller falsely asserted that Talarico is transgender. Other Republican influencers have implied that he's gay. The strategy here is clear: lean into culture war lies about Talarico rather than contest him on actual policy.
"Yeah, there's been a lot of talk in this race about what it means to be a real man," Talarico said to Psaki. "And recently on the campaign trail, I told the story of my adoptive dad, the man who gave me his last name, the man who raised me as his own."
"Every Saturday morning, Mark Talarico would mow our lawn, whether it was rain or shine, whether he wanted to or not, he insisted on mowing our lawn himself," he continued. "And then without anyone asking him to, he would go next door and mow our neighbor's lawn because our neighbor was elderly, she was a widow. And my dad never talked about it. He just did it."
"Because that's what a man does. A man takes responsibility," he said.
"A man upholds his commitments to his family and his neighbors."
"A man does what's right even when no one is watching."
"And here's what real men don't do... They don't lie and cheat their way through life," he went on. "They don't sell their soul to the highest bidder. They don't steal from other people in order to enrich themselves. And so I've said before, and I will keep saying, that real men serve others."
"Weak men serve themselves," he added. "And so I welcome this debate about what it means to be a man. And I don't think Ken Paxton or Ted Cruz are in a position to tell anybody what a real man is."
Someone should tell Ted Cruz that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Donald Trump called his wife ugly during the 2016 Republican primary, only for Cruz to go on to become one of Trump's staunchest supporters. There is nothing "masculine" about selling out your own family in pursuit of power.
Similarly, Talarico's disgraced opponent Ken Paxton is the furthest thing from a good man. He was impeached as state attorney general by his own party for bribery, and his wife divorced him for adultery. If that's what a "real man" does, then we need a lot fewer "real men" in government.

BREAKING: GET HIM! Congressman Robert Garcia BLASTS J.D. Vance for taking part in the Epstein coverup after bombshell reporting revealed his central role — and demands he be subpoenaed.

“I think for the first time in this whole Epstein investigation, we have the Vice President of the United States that is now part of this massive coverup,” Garcia told reporters.
He vowed to investigate Vance's role in the coverup, citing recent New York Times reporting which revealed that Vance led the "task force" that convened in the White House to discuss damage control as Trump was buffeted by his Epstein storm.
“I mean, the fact that JD Vance is hosting meetings in the Situation Room, which is designed for national security issues, multiple meetings, he’s leading those meetings, he’s talking about protecting the President," said Garcia.
"He’s talking about strategy on Ghislaine Maxwell … she exonerates Donald Trump. That’s a huge, that’s huge bombshell reporting,” Garcia added. He said it "confirms for the first time that JD Vance has been a part of the strategy, we’ve not learned that until the reporting from yesterday.”
Garcia stated that he's going to ask House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to ask Vance to testify in the next 24 hours "or so" to discuss the Times' reporting. Comer has been surprisingly aggressive in pursuing the Epstein issue, and recently moved to interview Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Alan Dershowitz about the late billionaire pedophile.
“Why are we having meetings in the Situation Room about Epstein strategy?” Garcia asked. “I think it’s pretty, pretty crazy reporting."
It's hard to imagine a more disqualifying revelation than this. Vance is so desperate to be President that he's willing to help an alleged child rapist massage the PR fallout from his scandal.

The incredibly childish nature of this attack proves that Republicans have absolutely nothing to attack Talarico on. He's a devout Christian and a proven member of the Texas House of Representatives. Meanwhile, his opponent was impeached by his own party while state attorney general for bribery and his wife divorced him for adultery.
"Says the man who still bows to a politician who suggested his father killed JFK, and mocked his wife as ugly," Joe Scarborough said on his show, referring to the fact that Cruz cravenly swallowed Trump's insults and lined up to support him. "Don’t think this is most Americans’ view masculinity."
During the 2016 Republican primary, Trump warned Cruz that he would "spill the beans" on his wife Heidi and posted an unflattering photograph of her. Coming from a man who sees women solely as objects, the message was clear: You're less of a man because your wife is unattractive.
"Oh, yes, soft-handed Ted Cruz, the avatar of masculine virtue," mocked former Republican strategist Rick Wilson.
"Is it masculine to run from a storm?" Chris Cuomo wrote on X. "Is it masculine to allow a man to insult you, call your wife ugly, and call your father a criminal...and then kiss his ass?"

BREAKING: Republican Oversight Chair James Comer drops a BOMB on Trump by demanding that corrupt Attorney General Todd Blanche and disgraced attorney Alan Dershowitz testify about Jeffrey Epstein.
This is the nightmare scenario for MAGA...
“I’m communicating with the Department of Justice. I would like for Todd Blanche to come in in July,” Comer stated.
This move to force Blanche into the light on Epstein comes after former Attorney General Pam Bondi told the Oversight Committee that Blanche was in charge of many of the key decisions regarding the release of the Epstein files. In other words, he was responsible for spearheading the coverup.
“AG Blanche was managing the entire investigation,” said Bondi, who referenced Blanche nearly 30 times during her conversation with the committee.
It's not surprising that Trump would handpick Blanche to whitewash his alleged crimes with Epstein, since Blanche used to be Trump's personal attorney. This is the same Blanche who was sent to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell before she was moved to a cushy minimum security facility.
“Just yesterday he was saying that he didn’t think we needed to hear from Tom Blanche, and so the fact that he’s agreed to bring him in, I think it’s really, really important,” Congressman Robert Garcia said of Comer's decision.
“It’s not enough to just get Blanche in. We have to have Blanche under oath. It’s got to be videotaped and released to the public. That was our full request of Chairman Comer,” Garcia added.
The decision to bring in Dershowitz comes after Epstein's longtime assistant Lesley Groff testified before the committee. The transcript of her testimony has not been released, so we do not yet know what, if anything, she said about Dershowitz.
“Based on the testimony from Ms. Groff, as well as a meeting that I had afterwards with several of the Epstein survivors, I am going to ask Alan Dershowitz to come in,” Comer said.
“We will have questions for him and we will give him an opportunity to come in and answer several questions that arose yesterday based on Ms. Groff’s testimony and some things that some of the Epstein survivors said,” he added.
Dershowitz has responded by saying that he wants the interview to be videotaped "videotaped, under oath and open to the public" and disturbingly added that he is "very proud" of his time "representing Epstein."
Regardless of what these testimonies reveal, they are a massive problem for Donald Trump who desperately wants the country to memory hole the entire Epstein scandal. Every time a major development like this occurs, it surges the scandal — and his close, predatory relationship with the pedophile billionaire — back into the public consciousness.
The problem will only get worse for him when Democrats retake Congress, obtain subpoena power, and begin overturning every rock and releasing every redacted file.

Modoc County, California, used to be the reddest district in the state, voting 70% for Donald Trump in the past three elections and 80% against redrawing the congressional maps to add more blue seats.
No more; they just elected a Bay Area Democrat after their district got merged with Marin, adding 250,000 more liberal voters and essentially drowning out the red votes.
“We don’t have as many people so there’s not as big of a voice,” complained resident Laurel Ybarra. “They say you don’t count rocks and trees… Most of the news is urban-focused and when they talk about rural areas, they say how we’re a bunch of idiots and racists. We already feel like the whole legislature doesn’t even know that we’re here. They don’t care and don’t even come out to the county to pretend to care.”
Jennifer Flournoy, a cattle rancher, spoke to SF Gate and whined that Prop. 50 was a somber defeat for representative democracy. “It’s very disheartening,” she said. “It makes us feel like our place here in California doesn’t matter as much.”

Might we remind them that Democrats tried to pass a national ban on gerrymandering and their entire party voted against it.
Might we remind them that it is THEIR Republican Party that kicked off this entire redistricting war, all to gain an unfair advantage to make up for the fact that most of the country hates them!
Perhaps they should think about what it might feel like to be a Black person in the South and see your entire community disenfranchised by racist white people who are specifically targeting you based on the color of your skin.

BREAKING: HORRIFYING! Epstein bombshell reveals that Trump allegedly had a "predilection for nipples" and abused one of the victims by "aggressively" flicking and sucking on them.
And it gets so much worse...
“They looked incredibly painful as they were red and swollen and I remember wincing when I looked at them,” Epstein victim Sarah Ransome wrote in an email to a journalist, referring to a victim named Jen who Trump allegedly preyed on.
Ransome claimed that Jen — who was a girl in Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring — had sex with Trump and he brutally abused her nipples. Ransome claimed to have seen the evidence firsthand on Jen's body.
The stomach-churning revelation was reported by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan of the New York Times in reporting excerpted from their forthcoming book, “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump.”
The reporters expose details of the private emergency meetings that Trump's inner circle held inside the White House to discuss damage control for their boss's worsening Epstein scandal. Some of them had "never heard of the nipple claim" when it was brought up, but others had a "passing familiarity with it."
One official said that it was "surreal" to be discussing nipples inside the White House Situation Room — the very same place where Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton oversaw the operation that killed Osama Bin Laden. Under Democrats, the room is used to keep Americans safe. Under Trump, it's used to keep us in the dark.
Ransome further claimed that she "possessed video footage of prominent men having sex with young girls in Epstein’s entourage." She later retracted the claims out of fear that she or her family might be harmed. Given the fact that there's a mountain of evidence suggesting that Epstein did not kill himself, she can hardly be blamed for her caution.
Try as they might, Republicans will not succeed at sweeping this scandal under the rug. The Epstein child-trafficking operation is the defining element of Trump's life. He can delay and obfuscate, but eventually Democrats will retake power and the floodgates will be opened wide. One of the first orders of business must be for the FBI to find Jen and interview her extensively. Then, the prosecutions can begin.

Blogger and YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen went off on CNN after Donald Trump added him to his new official “media offenders list” – basically a government enemies list targeting content creators who criticize him.
“For a guy who presented himself as this free speech champion, this crusader against censorship, for him now to go after YouTubers and podcast hosts… it’s just the peak of weakness,” Cohen said. “Donald Trump is a fragile, small, petty little man.”
Cohen said he was in good company.
“I wear his scorn as a badge of honor to be named alongside people like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert. If Donald Trump is so eager to release lists now, he should probably start with the one that he’s on 38,000 times.”
Oof. That’s a direct shot at Trump’s name appearing repeatedly in the Epstein files.This is the same Donald Trump who spent years screaming about “cancel culture” and “free speech,” now using the power of the presidency to create an official blacklist of journalists, comedians, and online creators he doesn’t like.
Trump once claimed to be the ultimate defender of the First Amendment, but we know he didn’t mean it. Because now he is literally publishing enemies lists like the wannabe dictator he is. And Cohen is right, the only list that people care about is the one he’s so very afraid of: the Epstein files.
Cohen nails it when he said Trump’s attempt to project strength through intimidation via these lists show just the opposite: a deeply insecure and petty man who can’t handle anyone challenging his fragile ego and fantastical version of reality.
We appreciate Cohen, who got his start around these parts. He’s become one of the sharp young voices on the left. We need more voices like his if common sense is going to triumph over the scourge of Trumpism. And it will.
BREAKING: HOLY COW! Trump hands Democrats an attack ad on a silver platter by insanely stating that: "I love the inflation" as it hits a three-year high.
You can't afford groceries and the President is thrilled...
"Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning? Could that be a negative for Republicans trying to hold the House and Senate?" a reporter asked Trump.
Earlier today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics dropped the bombshell news that U.S. inflation has accelerated for the third month in a row and rose 4.2% since May of last year. That is devastating news for consumers, whose already embattled wallets will be stretched thinner by the day. This is a direct result of Trump's pointless, economy-destroying Iran War.
"No, I love it. The numbers were great," Trump responded to the reporter. "You know what I really love? I love the inflation. You know why? Because as soon as this war is over, you know, I can say it now, something you didn't know... Do you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it."
"You know who doesn't know about it? Iran, until right now," he continued. "We took out the other night 22 ships, late at night with no lights, because they don't have any radar, because we blasted the crap out of it. We took out, that's why oil is $85 a barrel."
It's unclear exactly what he was talking about. If he's claiming that the United States has been seizing oil ships, that does nothing for American consumers. The price of oil will not stabilize until the Strait of Hormuz is fully opened and that won't happen until Trump caves to Iran's demands. They hold the leverage. He keeps claiming that a deal is right around the corner but the war just keeps dragging on and on.
Trump's Energy Secretary Chris Wright said yesterday that traffic through the Strait is rising, but then today Trump announced plans to resume bombing. If he escalates attacks on Iran, traffic will plummet to nothing. We are stuck in a vicious feedback loop of incompetency.
"I mean, you take a look," Trump went on. "Remember when I did this, I said, look, the one bad thing will be, we hit the best economy we've ever hit. And I said to my people, I had Scott, I had Howard, I had Pete, I had all of them. I had Todd in the room. I said, the one thing we have to do now, we had just hit the highest stock market in history, highest 401Ks in history. Everything was going well, and I said, I hate to do this to you guys, but Iran is going to have a nuclear weapon very soon. We have to go and attack. So we hit them with the B-2 bombers."
As has been reported ad nauseam in countless publications, Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapon. Our intelligence agencies admitted as much. Trump attacked Iran because Israel asked him to, because they want to destroy a regional adversary to aid their territorial expansion into Lebanon. Americans gain nothing from this war but are shouldering the full economic burden.

BREAKING: Democratic Congresswoman publicly shames Sleepy Don for his constant napping in BRUTAL House hearing!
Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA) went straight for the jugular on the House floor, sounding the alarm about what she called a serious national security threat: Donald Trump’s sleeping habits.
“I rise today to sound the alarm about a grave national security threat – Donald Trump’s sleeping habits,” Kamlager-Dove said. “We cannot trust the White House on matters concerning the President’s health because they are denying what Americans are seeing with our own two eyes.”
Kamlager-Dove pointed out the obvious – that Trump has been caught dozing off repeatedly in meetings, during public events, and even while his sycophantic toadies are kissing his keister.
She ripped into the White House for consistently denying obvious signs of decline – the mysterious bruises on his hands, the unexplained MRI, the hidden hair loss medication, and the bizarre late-night AI posts on Truth Social.
“We cannot have a President asleep at the wheel,” she continued. “Is he sleeping in classified briefings? On calls with foreign leaders? How can we trust a President who is literally asleep at the wheel to make informed decisions about national security?”
The congresswoman also called out the blatant lack of transparency from the Trump White House, noting they’ve repeatedly refused to be honest with the American people about the president’s health.
The congresswoman is right to take this seriously. Americans have a right to know whether the man with the nuclear codes is mentally and physically fit to serve.
What we are getting, as she points out, are endless cover-ups, ridiculous excuses, and rabid gaslighting from the likes of Rubio, who denied Trump has ever slept in meetings despite photographic evidence of him dozing right next to him.
The fact that Republicans insist on looking the other way while their leader shows significant signs of incapacity. National security should not hinge on whether Trump can stay awake during a meeting.
Americans deserve real transparency about the President’s health, and it's no joke.
BREAKING: Albania's top environmental group EXPOSES Jared Kushner's luxury resort development as a disaster that will "wreak lasting havoc" on the country in the latest blow to his corrupt deal.
This project is now in free fall...
“New roads have been cut through the landscape, with gravel laid even on fragile dunes, and a bridge has been built over the main canal connecting the lagoon to the sea,” said Aleksandër Trajçe, the executive director of Protection and Preservation of the Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA).
“This construction, in a short time, has already caused significant harm to both the ecology and the geomorphology of the area so, while it appears the project is stopped for now, the effects of what was done remain very visible," he continued.
Trajçe revealed that the construction will "take years" and "wreak lasting havoc on the entire ecology, from the lagoon to the adjacent sea and beach ecosystems."
Widespread protests against the project have swept Albania in recent weeks in what is being dubbed the "Flamingo Revolution," a reference to one of the species of wildlife that locals are hoping to save. Kushner's project — which he is pursuing alongside his wife Ivanka Trump — includes a $1.4 billion deal for an island and a $4.7 billion deal for a stretch of protected coastline. Flamingos, turtles, and other animals call the region home.
The Albanian people are incensed that Kushner and his business partners are destroying the ecosystem to pave the way for yet another vacation spot for the global elite. The development is so damaging to the environment that the EU has warned Albania that if it proceeds, it may endanger their efforts to join the Union.
Due to the intense backlash, Albania's anti-corruption prosecutors have frozen the accounts of a landholding company connected to the deal and tied to shady Qatari oligarchs Moutaz and Ramez Al-Khayyat. It's, of course, no surprise that Kushner is waist-deep in Gulf money, because he used his influential position during the first Trump presidency to warp America's foreign policy to the benefit of numerous parties in the region in return for investments in his businesses.
The Albanian Foreign Ministry informed Newsweek that Kushner's project has not received final approval. Some of the development equipment has been removed from the site due to the protests, but Trajçe said that the "damage already inflicted remains quite prominent."
The fight is far from over, but the pressure campaign is working. The Albanian people are going to win this, and triumph over Kushner and the pedophiles, human traffickers, and war criminals who are hoping to vacation at his resort.

Lieu was reacting to a video of Rollins insisting that this new screwworm problem traces "back to the last administration" and Biden's nonexistent "open border policy."
This is yet another blatant example of the Trump administration coming into power, breaking something that they don't understand, and then blaming Biden for the consequences. They are pathologically incapable of taking responsibility for any of their blunders.
"Dear @SecRollins: Did the Screwworm come from the trump Administration’s beef import plan with Argentina?" Lieu wrote in a followup post, boosting a report that Trump signed a trade deal with Argentina that permitted "unrestricted beef imports" from that country despite its screwworm problem.
Screwworms, which devour tissue and can kill cattle, have been detected in a growing number of calves in Texas. One case has been discovered in a dog. The pest had been considered eradicated in the United States for decades, but under Elon Musk's tenure at DOGE, the government slashed preventive measures and funding aimed at hampering the spread of the creature.
Before those cuts, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), spent tax dollars on monitoring and containing the spread of screwworm in Central America. It was one of the most worthwhile government investments on the books, because it helped stop destructive outbreaks like the one we're currently witnessing.
"Trump GUTTED funding for screwworm detection and fired 25 percent of workers whose job it was to monitor the disease," Congressman Shri Thanedar wrote on X.
We know who's to blame here and it's not Joe Biden. It's Donald Trump and Elon Musk, ignorant oligarchs who were so hellbent on slashing spending to pay for more tax cuts for the obscenely rich, that they didn't care what they destroyed in the process.

BREAKING: YES! New polling reveals that Democrat James Talarico has pulled ahead of MAGA freak Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race.
Republicans are officially in full-blown panic mode...
According to a survey conducted by the Texas Pulse, 47% of respondents said that they would vote for Talarico while 44% said they'd vote for Paxton. 2% said they'd support a different candidate. Given the fact that Texas is touted as a bastion of conservative sentiment, this is a remarkable lead for Talarico.
And Paxton is a remarkably bad candidate, even by the subterranean standards of the Trump era. He was impeached by his own party for taking bribes as state attorney general. In addition to being a literal crook, he's an immoral philanderer and his wife divorced him for adultery. He previously said that the horrific Uvalde school shooting — during which 21 people died and 18 others were injured — was just "part of God's plan."
“Call me old-fashioned, but a man takes responsibility,” Talarico, taking aim at his opponent. “He upholds his commitments to his family and his neighbors, and he does what’s right even when no one is watching.”
Meanwhile, Talarico himself is a devout Christian with a sterling record of standing up for working class people as a member of the Texas House of Representatives. He represents the sane, upstanding choice compared to Paxton's blatant criminality.
It's clear that Republicans are floundering here. Lacking any legitimate avenue of attack against Talarico, they've resorted to falsely claiming that he's "transgender," insulting his masculinity, and spreading AI videos depicting him saying things that he's never said. They have nothing to run on and Texans will see right through their pathetic smear campaign.
