Hey, thanks for reaching out! Game development is going well so far — still early, but I’m building the project step by step and sharing progress through devlogs and screenshots. Right now, most people discover it through my posts on X, Bluesky and Mastodon. I’m focusing on growing the community organically for now, thanks for asking!
At 5:30 AM, I went for a walk and I was thinking, it would be interesting to have a little robot that patrols and chases us if it sees us 🤔 #gamedev#indiedev#indiegame
Slightly improved and slimmed down version above all ^^ I remind you that I am not a designer or illustrator but don't hesitate to give your opinion on our little Darky (yes that's his nickname) #indiegame#gamedev#indiedev#affinitydesigner
Small update, the security camera is functional and a first version of the character too. But I'm struggling with the quality rendered in #gamemaker... it's slowly starting to take shape. #gamedev#indiegamedev#indiedev#indiegame
Since the security camera finished earlier than expected, I'm going to take advantage of the time to draw a main character I've already started, I admit, and integrate it into the camera. No animations yet. Short video tonight. #gamedev#indiegamedev#indiedev#indiegame
Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well and that your projects are progressing smoothly. Don't give up and pursue your vision; you can do it! 🌞 #gamedev#indiegamedev#indiegame
The small tileset is finished, here are a few images, but the final result for a prototype is better than just simple colors. It's more appealing, I should say ^^ #affinitydesigner#gamemaker#indiegame
@Pongtris Thanks! For now I’m only using the normal rumble motors, not haptic/adaptive triggers. I’m just starting to experiment with it for landing impacts and small game feel feedback.
And there you have it, the wall jump is configured, a "hideout" zone is ready. I took the opportunity to add gamepad support and haptic feedback, vibrations based on fall speed. I've started it, but I'll finish a security camera tomorrow. #indieGamedev#indiedev#gamedev #indiegame
I'm going to spend the evening practicing a bit on #affinitydesigner and preparing a small tileset of a few images to make a more visually appealing test area. Lots of work ahead of me still ^^ #indiegamedev#gamedev#indiedev#indiegame
Tonight I'm going to try to integrate a wall jump and a shadow zone, a trigger where the player can hide out of sight. It shouldn't be too complicated. Not much time today, but tomorrow I have an idea for a security camera 🤔 #gamedev#indiedev#indiegame#gamemaker
A small step forward tonight : the story writing is progressing, and new abilities have been added to our character. He can now climb walls and cling to certain ceilings. #gamedev#indiedev#indiegame#gamemaker
Okay, let's keep it simple ! I'm not unhappy with my first side-scroller character, he walks and jumps, which is something. Now he needs to do a bit more, but first I have to write my script because I have a story in my mind 😁 #gamedev#indiegame#indiedev#gamemaker#videogame
Okay, I might have a little idea for the next project. It won't be a top-down view, but a classic 2D side-scroller. I'm going to start by looking at how physics works in #gamemaker and create a simple character that walks and jumps. #indiedev#gamedev#indiegame
Even though my first little game flopped, it's okay, I expected it. It's strange what happens after a video game project is finished. It's like being tossed about by waves of ideas for the next project without knowing where to go 🤔 #indiegame#videogame#gamedev
All English and French audio for the game is now complete.
Just a few final details left before releasing it online.
My spoken English isn’t great, but I did my best. #indiegame#gamedev#indiedev#gamemaker#story#greyline
