Kat and I had the honor of joining the Veteran Surf Alliance this morning for their annual Memorial Day Paddle Out at Capitola Beach in Santa Cruz.

Veterans know the cost of war better than anyone. My dad was a Navy veteran who prosecuted Nazis at Nuremberg — he taught me to stand up against injustice and give back to my community.
