Hepatitis B can be passed from mother to child during pregnancy or childbirth, but it doesn't have to be.
Getting tested during pregnancy and ensuring babies receive the hepatitis B birth-dose vaccine as soon as possible after birth can prevent mother-to-child transmission.
This #WorldHepatitisDay, get tested for hepatitis to protect yourself and your family.

Our second #WorldHepatitisDay webinar will be presented by SAFEStart+, a four-year project with funding from @UNITAID, led by @PATHtweets and project co-leads @ICWEastAfrica
and WHA.
