🩵 CARE ABOUT AIR 🩵
This stunning wall mural was unveiled at UPFEST, Europe's largest street art festival in Bristol.
It’s designed to promote the ‘Clean Air for Kids’ campaign & open up conversations about improving indoor air quality in schools.

We are disabling and killing the next generation — this is truly the greatest tragedy of the pandemic.
Children don’t even have a voice. They are literally at the mercy of those in control who choose the economy and normalcy over lives.
Massive win for Hertfordshire schools!
Every child deserves to breathe clean air in schools. It improves overall health, performance, and more.
More of this, please!!

Cleaner air in schools improves health, reduces absence & is linked to better learning outcomes, making it one of the rare interventions that benefits everyone every day.
HEPA filters are low-cost & quick to deploy.
Why are we even talking about it? Why aren’t we just DOING it?
You all remember that study where they found Covid to be present on nearly every flight they tested? 96% of all flights, well that high percentage also applies to the school your children attend daily, the supermarket you shop at, the train you travel on.
Why are people not realising that Covid isn’t some rarely encountered thing and the reason that they and their children are getting sick every week is because they are being non-stop exposed to Covid?
So in the last week:
- UKHSA halts publishing disease outbreak data
- Efforts to play down respiratory spread of MenB in the media & rando social media accounts
- Government health agencies scrub 'aerosol' from meningitis pages
- The WHO now delete 'airborne' nature of MenB
😬
It would have been a whole lot easier - and ultimately cheaper for the government - if they had installed air purifiers in schools and hospitals and other public buildings.
It's so maddening that when the pandemic hit, instead of deciding to clean the air in all indoor spaces, wear respirators in healthcare settings, and understand more about spreading airborne disease, everyone decided to just get infected over and over again.
@LeighGiangreco Clean indoor air should be basic infrastructure in places like schools, hospitals, and care homes. HEPA filtration and simple courtesy when sick can protect a lot of people with very little effort.
This entire thread from Prof Prather is 🔥
“Filtering indoor air should be as standard as filtering water. Full stop.”
“Most infectious diseases spread through the air we breathe. We just accept that everyone gets sick indoors. It DOESN’T have to be this way…”
