"Although we are capable of great acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from ourselves ... God sent into the world a unique person, neither a philosopher nor a general ... but a Saviour, with the power to forgive."
Queen Elizabeth II, Christmas 2011
A lot of stories being shared about Her Majesty the Queen, but I've got one that tops them all. I once had the honor of touring the UK Parliament with a man who knew its history better than anyone. I asked for the craziest story he could share and he did not disappoint. 1/9
Breaking: Here is my commentary on the death of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II today — the meaning of Britain’s second Elizabethan Age. https://t.co/xvLMX33R41
Queen Elizabeth II has died. Having recently lost my mother who was of a similar age I am reminded that generation was special. And Queen Elizabeth embodied the dignity, courage, and perseverance that marked out that time. Bless God for them all. https://t.co/oY1uL5SNSV

church league. @ChrisParrishUK played church league. 😳🤣

But for me, the IMB sending celebration is always one of things that we must “be in the room” for at the SBC Annual Meeting.
A real life celebration of what unites as all as Southern Baptists. @IMB_SBC
SBC in Anaheim - don’t forget the people who check you in, clear your table, clean your room, and ring you up. They need to see honest care and hear truth from people who love Jesus. The girl who checked me in today said everyone has been nice so far… let’s keep it that way.
