I'm not ignoring the bad. I just don't think the bad was outright caused by the Civil Rights Act like Kirk claimed. It just happened at the same time as societal change

But you can't just blame all of society's bads on a single law because that's when change started. He was ignorant to the good

The Civil Rights Act overall was beneficial because it no longer allowed companies to refuse housing or loans because of race. Which happened and resulted in a poverty gap we still see. He was against this
