@DanWetzel @JackMac One town, population 6,000. The town my kids grew up in couldn’t support two teams, let alone it’s own league, at the same age level because so many kids went to travel and took the parents with coaching ability and the financial means to support the league with them.

@DanWetzel @JackMac More than talent identification, the issue is that the travel model limits opportunities for kids to play locally and develop an understanding and love of the game. I see the same thing happening in baseball, TBH. My local little league produced two D1/pros in my age group.
