@gmptraffic@ArabDas31313 So why say EAPCs were seized when you actually seized illegal electric motorbikes? Language matters and this kind of misinformation scares law abiding people from cycling.
Cars are money pits. They devour the most valuable resources in cities: space and time. When people walk places, they are easier to entice into shops, more likely to shop locally and have more time and money to spend. It’s also a lot prettier.
@8studoldfart@Henryz_mom "Look what you made me do!" is never a good look when the thing they made you do is lose your temper and lash out unnecessarily in a way that hurts others.
Bus lanes should be for buses. Not taxis. Not "private hire" cars. Buses.
Why should someone have the right to pass everyone simply due to the fact that they've paid a driver to drive them as opposed to driving themselves? Why do taxis get preferential treatment?
People treat political violence like it's a tool only used by the radicalized but this isn't true. Every police officer, every soldier, and every eviction notice is political violence. Tainted water in Flint MI is political violence. Homelessness is political violence.
@Turnditch_Man@ShivajiShivaLaw Nice idea, I suspect that would also kick off another round of massive inflation as those extra costs get passed on to the consumer. There are no easy ways out of this one. Regulations around reducing the need for consumption (mandatory warranties, right 2 repair etc) may help.
@Turnditch_Man@ShivajiShivaLaw Most of those emissions are created making stuff for us though. Really they're our emissions that we've shifted on to their balance sheet.
@Jenny_1884 Lifetime of most large infrastructure projects without regular maintenance is usually 40-50 years and we stopped investing in infrastructure in the 70s, around 40-50 years ago.
@awatkins1966@Pedalperspectiv *proceeds to show bikes using the bike lane*
Putting the bike lane between the bus and the bus stop is another issue which needs discussing but that video clearly shows bike lanes being used by bikes.
