@SuriaTei It’s nickname is fireweed & when steam trains were used & land was burned by loose coals as the train passed through, they thrived growing in the burnt clearings along the tracks. But tbf they do grow anywhere & I always leave them as the elephant hawk moth caterpillar eats them

@reginalddhunter ☹️ Sad news. I’ve just read his book ‘Did I Ever Tell You This?’ It’s very good…I didn’t know he was born on a kitchen table in Ireland! I’d definitely recommend it, a beautiful last account of his life.

@BornFreeFDN I remember crying when this story first broke, not only was he slaughtered, he was cruelly lured out of the safe zone if I remember rightly. Tragic this still happens. I find it eternally disturbing that so many people’s brains are wired to enjoy this barbarity 😢
