@LittleMammith @teortaxesTex Your hypothetical only makes sense if you believe in a supernatural quality of "you"-ness that exists separate from your material conditions and circumstances
this is gonna get me blocked, but my opinion is that louis had SOME emotional hold over him in this scene, you can see it in his face, the whole “I’ll stay with you, I’ll never leave” and the blank look in his eyes when he hears louis say that, then when he begs, he caves
So now it’s time for me to ask THAT question…
Are either of them men acting in Interview With the Vampire actually queer in real life? Or are we doing the whole “hire straight men to perform swirling queerness for money” thing again?
@psychonegraut Oh, it matters to YOU! Oh, well then that changes everything! Let's just throw out things like common decency, respect for privacy, and the rule that YOU NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE TRY TO OUT SOMEONE. Because YOU want to know.🙄 /s
much talk about lestat's love for NOLA = his love for louis (he was in love with my city. no other place for me other than new orleans. desperately alive and desperately fragile.) but conversely: for louis, lestat and new orleans are synonymous with each other
Lestat: "Without a trace you disappear" "Gimme some face" "Here come the gays"
HE'S SINGING ABOUT LOUIS. Louis, S1, 'he gave me some face and I drove him home' OH MY FUCKINGGOD
