Both Naveen Patnaik and Mamata Banerjee faced political decline, but Naveen ji still carries goodwill among many former voters. Respect earned through conduct often survives beyond power. Saying this as someone who never voted for BJD.
They didn’t cancel a Metro project.
They cancelled the idea that #Bhubaneswar will grow.
Apparently traffic jams are now a “heritage experience” & long commutes a “fitness initiative.”
World builds for the future.
We cancel it before it arrives.🤦🏽♂️

Palasa–Ichchapuram railway section quietly shifted out of Odisha—and no one speaks up. The Railway Minister is an Odia MP, yet silent.
Even the most vocal faces—Aparajita Sarangi, Baijayant Panda, Dharmendra Pradhan, Sambit Patra—are silent. All 20 BJP MPs mute.
Is party loyalty above Odisha’s interest? Who is speaking for the state? #OdishaIgnored

Odisha lost a ₹70,000 crore mega steel project by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India to Andhra Pradesh.
This is not just a missed investment—it’s a failure of governance. Why couldn’t the BJP deliver what Odisha rightfully deserved?

Young travel blogger Ankita Kumar has found another hidden gem in rural India: Raghurajpur, Odisha.
Beautiful to see such places being spotlighted and getting attention.🇮🇳
Tornadoes are rare in India but they do happen. Puruna Bandhagoda in Keonjhar was devastated in April 1979 by one that killed probably a hundred or more. Delhi's University area had one the previous year killing 30.
Odisha is no stranger to India’s tourism circuit.
From the timeless Konark & Jagannath Temples, to the sands of Puri Beach and the vastness of Chilika Lake.
But it seems that if you venture deeper into the state you discover landscapes that are every bit as spectacular.
Duduma Falls in Koraput district where the Machkund River plunges dramatically off a rocky cliff is one such marvel.
It’s a reminder that India’s beauty is inexhaustible. Just when you think you’ve seen it all… another wonder appears.

Odisha vs Bihar in 20+ Years of Leadership under Naveen Patnaik and Nitish Kumar :
> According to 1999 (NSSO data)
> Odisha poverty rank: 28th
> Bihar poverty rank: 27th
> Both leaders ruled their states for almost 20 years
> Current poverty ranking
Odisha: 19th
Bihar: 28th
Odisha moved up in the ranking, while Bihar moved down.
Sometimes numbers speak louder than politics.

Some people still think the Northeast is a “foreign country.”
Brother, we are so Indian that we guard the borders while you argue on X. Oh Sorry, Twitter 🫢
Racism is outdated. Time to update your software.
The Northeast of India from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to Manipur and Nagaland is a powerhouse of culture, resilience, talent, and warmth.
Yet it’s heartbreaking how some Ignorant people reduce them to stereotypes based on their facial features, questioning their identity when they are as Indian as anyone else. This ignorance is not just offensive, it’s disgraceful.
Respect their heritage. Acknowledge their contribution. Educate yourself. India’s diversity is its strength and the Northeast is an inseparable, invaluable part of it!! 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

ODISHA HAS TOO MANY RAILWAY STATIONS NAMED WITH ROAD SUFFIX
A word about Odia Asmita and names of Railway Stations in Odisha. Railways have about 302 Stations in Odisha of which names of at least 41 bear the suffix “Road”, like Khurda Road, Narla Road etc . These Stations should have had more language friendly names long ago. Some names should have addressed the issue of sensitivity as well. For instance, a Railway Station exists in the name of Jhankada Sarala Road . “Maa Sarala Pitha” could perhaps be appropriate and reverential . To continue with a name like Jajpur- Keonjhar Road or Khurda Road is anachronistic.

Congratulations to the BJP Government of Odisha on presenting another budget.
It is quite disappointing that the Double Engine Government is taking Odisha in reverse direction after promising moon for the people of Odisha. Welcome to the new era where every newborn child in Odisha will be welcomed with a per-capita loan burden of nearly 30,000 rupees.
When BJD Govt assumed office, Odisha’s revenues were used to repay loans and service debts, leaving very little funds available for development projects or people’s welfare. With years of meticulous planning and fiscal prudence, we reduced the loan burden drastically. Financially we were the best managed state in country.
But the BJP Govt is well on its course to make Odisha a bankrupt state soon. The total debt is soon going to touch 1,30,000 crore rupees. This will strain Odisha’s finances, derail state’s development momentum and welfare of the people.
People of Odisha hoped that the Double Engine will bring double benefit-Grant-In-Aid from Centre will double. But unfortunately, Central remittances to Odisha are shrinking year after year-especially during last two years.
Glad that Hon’ble Chief Minister has given tribute to the farmers in this speech. But the budget has fallen short in addressing the real issues of farmers. All grand promises without any focus on the development of the state.
In short: The budget is like a full menu in an empty kitchen.
Leading by Example!
Odisha BJP MP Baijayant Panda eats at Aanganwadi Centre that was boycotted by locals in Nuagaon as the cook is from Dalit community.
Who can give a better message on unity than a Brahmin MP!
Odisha BJP MP Baijayant Panda ate food at an Anganwadi Centre in Nuagaon that some locals had boycotted because the cook is from the Dalit community.
He is from the Brahmin community and gave a message of unity.
