Can anyone please explain in layman’s terms the bearing of ERBB3 on HER2+ breast cancer

Most importantly will
#1 herceptin still be effective while being a carrier of ERBB3 familial LC
#2 safe on trashed lungs #Oncology#Genetics

13 years ago this month we attended Brisbane Children’s hospital, that visit lead to a dx of Familial NSCLC in a 10 year old. 🙏🏼
That child is doing well.
@ThanksCancer
HER2+, HER3+, ER+ Breast Ca.
Chemo ✅
Bilateral mastectomy ✅
23 lymph nodes removed ✅
Result = complete pathological response
👏👏👏
Blessed a little bit more🙏🏼
Now on to radiation and hormone blockers
@katievscancer@ThanksCancer Try not to stress, it will only make a bad situation worse.
Listen to what your body needs.
Give yourself Grace to rest as needed so you are ready for what comes next.
@katievscancer@ThanksCancer Let go of any shame/embarrassment attached to your cancer.
Forgive yourself (if needed)
Never be afraid to advocate for your self (as you would do for others)
Accept assistance
Don’t be afraid to get 2nd and 3rd opinions.
Ask questions until you have and understand the answers
@ThanksCancer hard to believe that a small dimple under my nipple found 2nd June to a full width breast tumour in 2-3wks + lymph nodes to bilateral mastectomy massacre in 25 weeks
+ crazy concoction of breast & lung cancer chemo and 2 additional adjuvants
2 rare cancers 🤦🏼♀️
@SheldrickCathy@ThanksCancer I’m still somewhat gobsmacked. 🫤
To find myself with 2 rare cancers is incomprehensible.
LC familial research published 2021
Who knows how long this one will take to publish.
Hopefully I will live to see that day too .
Appreciate your best wishes.
@DrScomaME_CFS We had this after prolonged (2015-2018) exposure to environmental toxins along with pots, MCAS, CFS, prediabetic, high cholesterol, on the verge of ricketts and scurvy, NAFLD etc along with a multitude of of other symptoms. Tx for this protected us from covid.
@ThanksCancer
Anyone in Cancer Xville with HER2+ plus ER+ Breast cancer?
That also has a
HER3+ added in for good/not good measure?
If so Please tell me what treatment you had or are having. Tks!
@broadwaybabyto It definitely is life altering
I guess until you’ve lived it it would be hard to understand
I had an adverse reaction to chemo, once stabilised & I wasn’t improving I knew from my lived exp. that those 30 people that had entered my room during the day had tipped my 🪣
I had to go
@broadwaybabyto having IV every 21 days of 2 chemos and 2 adjuvant therapies to try to combat Invasive, Aggressive, Metastatic HER2+& ER+ Breast Cancer this is in a country that is still in the baby steps of acknowledging and understanding MCAS.
It’s a nightmare to navigate!
My MCAS 🪣 is full
@broadwaybabyto I hear you, I first became aware that I had MCAS in 2017/18 and been battling it since.
On top of food, smells, smoke, even cooking certain herbs, local aesthetic, temperature irregularities, other people’s, body lotions, hair products, perfumes, aftershave etc I’m now 1/2
@ThanksCancer well how lucky can a person be in 1 life time
Looks like I have picked up a 2nd rare cancer.
June 24 dx HER2+ & ER+ Metastasis, invasive and aggressive Breast cancer being driven twice as fast by the rare LC gene ERBB3+
Tx for both & kicking my A$$ @Amcinerneyleo
