We visited the @royalartillerymuseum last week to discuss all things conservation and collections care. There are great plans afoot to increase access to their fascinating collection. Definitely worth a visit.
Look at this interesting discolouration! It appears the decorative ink used on this postcard has started to react with the acidic paper. The green colouration could indicate metal elements such as copper are present in the ink. #archives#paperconservation#artwork#chemistry
