The album was Ulysses Dies at Dawn, by The Mechanisms, and I was hooked. I bought the rest of their music as soon as I could, and to this day I expect that CD to vanish as mysteriously as it appeared, maybe to go back to @jonnywaistcoat for more mischief...

On November 1st 2017, I found something weird while doing some cleaning. A mysterious CD inside of a thin plastic bag, a CD I never bought or had seen before. I asked around family and friends, maybe someone misplaced it during a visit? No luck.

I pulled over at the first gas station, googling the band's name because I wanted to know more about these absolutely genially unhinged people, who wrote an album about Ulysses' story reframed as a noir story with a blues sound.

Some friends did knew the band, but all their CDs were accounted for. I resigned myself to being now the owner of a mysteryous item and braced for any possible future weirdness. None came, but a couple day later, on a cold, foggy night, I did listen to the CD during a long drive.

@rickleone @giopota So she has a lot of room to improve, but you can't learn if people don't let you know you made mistakes! This tweet is just pointing out the issue in a way that can be applied to several similar past (and future, unfortunately) episodes. It's pretty neutral and matter of fact.

@NoOneHome1993 I definitely see what he was picturing and I agree it'd be absolutely amazing, but unfortunately I don't think the technology is quite there yet to ensure a good experience across the board (even if only because of how these tecnologies are not designed with eyeglasses in mind).

If you can, do yourself a favour and go see Bat out of hell. It's loud, it's fun, it has a lot of glitter. I liked it so much the first time, I went back twice in the same week! It's just that kind of experience.

@jackdaw_writes Churches (and not all of them, mainly those in the Vatican/Rome) are not "every historical building",ffs. The way it's phrased as an exagerrated blanket statement is really grating. Italy has plenty of real istances of being backward without the need to invent fake ones.
