Can we not play the sims on origin anymore? I am so late on this news???

So I updated my origin today, and now every time I load the game.. it’ll “wait” then the Home Screen pops up again. I reinstalled the game like 10x even went thru the process of deleting the sims app. Does it mean I can’t use origin anymore and have to get the EA App? #TheSims4
