LG E6 OLED paired with a Teranex Mini SDI-HDMI LUT box. Programmed using Calman Ultimate software + Klein Instruments K10-A colorimeter.
The client will soon replace that classic OLED with a Sony QD-OLED.
It's always a pleasure seeing the post-calibration results of an LG OLED (C1 pictured.) This particular unit is for in-house video production at a local establishment.
The DeltaE errors for the SDR color-checker test results were <1.0 (excellent/reference quality.) ๐
This 2022 Sony A95K QD-OLED television tuned up beautifully, and I especially appreciated its zippy processor that felt significantly faster during the #calibration process.

The Cine 13 monitor features a rugged/portable design w/many input types and signal visualizations that content creators need during production. Its measured max luminance exceeded 1500 nits + it calibrated for BT.709/2.4 gamma to reference levels ๐

Samsung's Micro LED display demo was impressive: ~5000 nits of light output, "perfect" contrast, superb color saturation, a robust (inorganic) light source, and insane response time. Prices will be $$$, but it's good to see these beasts in the wild.

In case you missed the memo from DTS, LG's 2023 OLEDs including C3 & G3 can now decode DTS internally, a functionality that has been missing since 2020's CX & GX series. LG C9 was previously the last model to be able to decode DTS.
I wouldn't consider a home theater TV purchase that didn't feature quantum dot tech's potential for near laser-like color quality. LCD and OLED TVs continue to push brightness levels to new heights, and the same must happen for accurate, life-like color saturation.

We recommend all OLED owners get at least 120 hours of display use before calibration - ideal for break-in/stabilization or potential need to exchange.
*Most LG TVs will display the Total Power On Time in the General > About This TV > TV Information screen (or thereabouts.)
The other day, I worked on the SDR calibration of a 2020 LG CX OLED television and was delighted with the results.
Every C- or G-Series LG OLED TV made in the last few years can do reference-quality imagery.
Some HOTD scenes have been near unwatchable even on an absolute top end LCD TV, so can only imagine how it looks on the mid-range and low-end LCD TVs most people own. Creatorโs intent surely shouldnโt mean ignoring the capabilities of most living room screens this wilfully.
If you need a supersized screen for your home theater and projection isn't an option, there are a few 98-inch LCD/QLED options out there, including this 4K TCL R754:

Update: I was disappointed with the factory calibration of this #ProArt monitor. Also, it has only two programmable (calibration) presets and minimal adjustments for existing presets. Hard to recommend for the price.
Looking forward to spending some quality time tomorrow with the @ASUS#ProArt PA32UCX 4K monitor:
1200 nits (peak brightness)
1152 zones of local dimming (mini-LED backlight)
99% DCI-P3 color
HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision
