The 2020 version of #366DaysofSong is now complete. I know it’s a vanity project, but I hope you enjoyed some part of it. If you’re interested, the full playlist is here and clocks in at over 22 hours. https://t.co/5jSIQ15qRD
Sweet Jesus, this project was a struggle this time around. Gonna take some time in the coming weeks to do some analytics and also try to sort out what happened to the 2016 Spotify list… how do I have a missing track and still have 366 tracks on it?
This one actually slipped off my radar for a bit. I think someone at work told me about this artist in 2020. I must’ve picked the wrong track back then.
I was focused on the delicate guitar at the beginning of Everywhere and it morphed into this track. When I searched the title on Spotify, this was first, followed by the Weezer cover. I stopped myself from screaming something about ‘I said no whiny emo guy’…
This came up on the covers seed list after yesterday’s and I thought, ‘This sounds good back-to-back, but I don’t think another whiny emo guy is quite where I want to go,’ so I backtracked to the original instead.
I swear, one of these days, I’m going to get around to listening to the 10 minute version from the original artist. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.
I knew one song from this band when I set up for their performance at Summerfest. This was the opening track and it kept me at the stage for the full set, even with two other bands I wanted to see on the neighboring stages.
