BREAKING: A man has apparently taken hostages during services at a synagogue near Fort Worth, Texas, and a SWAT team is on the scene, authorities said. https://t.co/nkJNCaF5vi
One suspect has taken the rabbi and three others hostage at a synagogue in Colleyville, TX. The hostage-taker is claiming to be armed and says his sister is Aafia Siddiqui, who was convicted in New York of trying to kill US military personnel
Had Trump won, Putin believed he'd have a partner in the White House in seeking to weaken NATO. He also believed that Trump didn't care about Ukraine. In a second term, Trump also wouldn't have around those "pesky" hawkish generals like Mattis & McMaster. But Biden won.
On Ukraine trip, @ChrisMurphyCT: "We have significant intel that tells us this invasion is perhaps imminent. That has not always been shared, our view of the seriousness of this invasion, by some of our partners in/around Europe. So we want to bring that intel to Pres. Zelensky"
If the Garland DOJ isn't going to charge Trump for trying to overthrow the government we must start campaigning for his immediate resignation or firing.
Tonight @maddow made the opening argument for conviction for GOP forging documents listing alternate electors from those elected by their states to defraud the US and obstruct a Congressional proceeding. Now DOJ should go after all the signatories and get to the top conspirators.
Trump told you his plans. His backers -- the true source of power -- often told you their plans. The levels of compromise and complicity required to make this nightmare possible is enormous; it goes back decades. That's why I wrote a book documenting it.

Not so. It only takes a majority of voters in the districts of a majority of state legislators to make it politically tempting for the legislators to do this, against a backdrop of the Big Lie and claims of fraud (in the other party’s districts, of course).
But Mitch knows this.
THURSDAY: Join the candlelight vigils for democracy. We must not forget what happened last January 6 -- and we must demand action from our leaders to prevent another attack on our democracy: https://t.co/YKfqT30eF2
.@Liz_Cheney: "What happened in the lead up to January 6 and on January 6, that's just a line that can't be crossed. And we have a duty as elected officials to make sure that people are held accountable, and that the American people know what happened in its entirety that day."
So the GOP plans to mark 1 year since the Jan. 6th attack -- in which 140 police officers were injured by a pro-Trump mob -- by publicly blaming *the police* for what happened.
Tell me again how it's the *Dems* who have a law-and-order messaging problem.
