The Florida shooter had enormous amounts of counseling & support to deal with his psychological problems.

He also had access to a gun.

So, GOP, please explain how more counseling would have helped. Because I know how to explain how it would have helped if he didnt have a gun.

@kurteichenwald I say we agree with them and see if they actually take any actions towards how we address mental illness in this country. I'm tired of those claiming access to guns is not an issue but yet propose no alternative solutions.

@Stonekettle They don't support gun control because it would take away something from them, they only support and advocate for regulations that take away from someone else. Most people aren't willing to make personal sacrifice for real change, no matter the cause.

A wall doesn't stop all illegal immigration yet is in a budget proposal with Congress....stricter gun control laws won't stop all gun violence but could prevent some including mass shootings....where are the proposals on gun control? SMH
