ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Donates 100 Million KRW for His Birthday: “I Hope It Becomes Courage for Children”

ENHYPEN leader Jungwon spread positive influence in celebration of his birthday.

On February 9, the Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Yoon Yeo-joon) announced, “Jungwon has pledged 100 million KRW and joined the ‘Honor Society,’ the organization’s high-value individual donor program, as its 3,886th member.”

The donation was made to commemorate Jungwon’s birthday (February 9). He chose to give back to society as a way of expressing gratitude for the love he has received from fans. Rather than making it a one-time donation, Jungwon also shared his intention to continue giving consistently every year. The pledged amount will be distributed over five years, with 20 million KRW donated annually to support underprivileged children and adolescents, as well as overall welfare projects.

Jungwon said, “As a K-pop artist, I have received so much love, and I’ve always believed that the attention and support I receive are never something to take for granted. Through that, I naturally became more interested in the rights and environments that many people rightfully deserve.”

He added, “I hope my small act of sharing can become a strong source of support and courage for children who are unable to enjoy their basic rights due to environmental barriers.”
