reminiscing when i went to wwa back in 2014 and lemme tell you NO OTHER BAND OR ARTIST has beat this intro/opening video to me. you literally had to be there 🚬
do any aussie directioners rmbr these magazines and a pop-up merch store we had back in those days? im feeling all kinds of emotions going through all my 1D things
times like this make me realise that the community i found at 13 years old on here is something i will cherish for life. for over a decade i have seen so many mutuals grow up, cheering each other along, celebrating life’s big milestones. no one will ever take that away from me
one direction really saved me during my teenage years and shaped me into who i am, i can’t wrap my head around the fact that one is them is gone so young, it’s such a scary reminder of how life is so short
people are not mourning the man liam payne became, they are mourning the man he used to be and the man they grew up with. the man that was part of something that shaped millions of peoples lives.
it is just so strange to go from adoring a musician for years during the peak of your adolescence, have to then come to terms with the fact he is abusive and cruel in reality, and then have to learn of his gruesome death and try to fit that all into a neat statement
Liam did NOT deserve death. he deserved medical and psychological help. which is what he needed all of these years to help with battle his addictions and mental illnesses. he made terrible choices and hurt innocent people in horrible ways but he never deserved death. im crushed
i have been a part of the one direction community since i was 13. i am 26 now. for half of my life, they have been a vital part in my life. i am sending love to all my one direction girlies right now who, like me, are navigating the news and processing their feelings.
i dont go on this account anymore but seeing familiar names and pfps from my 1D days makes my heart break that i have to see you all under these circumstances 💔
1D got me through my childhood and were my only source of happiness when i had nothing else to lean on. i thank them for the friends i made on here, whether we are still in touch or not, i havent forgotten our shared experience of being a fan together.
man. it feels so weird being in your 20s mourning a celebrity who you once grew up with. shaped your teenage hood and you made life long friends out of. at the same time not excusing who he became but also trying to grieve who he once was.
i don’t think some people understand that one direction is how i became a fan girl. it’s why i started this account. it’s how i found my love for music. it’s literally how i became ME. even tho i haven’t supported liam in a long time, this is so heartbreaking. i cant stop crying.
I don’t think I really recognized how much of that teenage girl living inside of me still held on to one direction as a safety and a comfort until now .
if it wasn’t for one direction i genuinely don’t know where i would be in life right now they helped me through the toughest of times. this is all too much to process
