• First NYY captain since Gehrig
• 13 HR, 80 RBI, 65 K per 162 G
• Tough player, good baserunner
• Never struck out more than 70x
• Reached .300 BA 5x, 100 RBI 3x
• .373/.417/.493 in the World Series
• .874 OPS in 30 postseason games
• A well-rounded player, Munson is 1 of 57 players in MLB history with at least 120 Rbat, 10 Rbaser, and 30 Rfield, and 1 of just 7 retired players* to reach those marks in fewer than 6000 plate appearances (Munson is also the only one-franchise player and the only modern catcher on this fascinating list)

Munson has not been elected to the Hall of Fame despite appearing on 19 ballots between 1981 and 2020 (15 BBWAA, 4 Veterans Committee)

Derby remains undefeated as they took down #3 in 6A Wichita Northwest on Saturday 62-58. Senior point guard Jack Ulwelling led the Panthers with 27 points in the win. Ulwelling is averaging just over 15 points per game in a very balanced Panther offense. He had 14 last Tuesday including the last minute three pointer to beat Valley Center 68-66 at their place. #sportsinkansas

This is one of the hardest but also one of the most important warnings from the history of Auschwitz coming for us today.

Perpetrators were in fact people who accepted and followed an ideology that made them believe that they were better than others, an ideology that rationalized and promoted hatred & evil. This became part of their everyday lives and their environment.

They were not monsters. They were people: fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters. They had their family joys and problems, their favorite desserts or songs, hobbies or fears. They were people like us. But they also perpetrated horrible things, monstrous things on behalf of the ideology they believed in. Dehumanization of all "others" was a tool that helped them achieve their goal.

The perpetrators thought of themselves as moral people. And this is the scary part of this history. We cannot dehumanize them, as their story and choices are our human warning.
