even if things don’t go the way i want and even if those situations hurt me, the metaphor of comparing myself to a candle, eventually burning warmly and brightly with my own light is incredibly fresh and beautiful.

even if there are people who leave me, i will still remain here in this place. “i won’t leave you alone. so, will you stay with me..? because we’re family. let’s stay together warmly forever, here in our home.” i feel like this might be the most honest song on this album ㅜㅜ it’s such a touching song that i ended up shedding tears again..

i’m so grateful to the DBLV team who worked on this song especially Chiller. just like we saw in the previous bell-ringing production video, when you look at all the little expressions, words, gestures and interactions they have with heeseung, you can really tell how sincerely they cherish and like him. having someone with such a warm heart by heeseung’s side makes my heart feel warm too.. i really love how he treats heeseung like his own younger brother.

everyone, it’s evan.

this is an album that i put a lot of care and effort into. as i worked day and night to tell sincere stories, trying to capture each and every word from deep within my heart and put them into this album, i came to feel both sorry and grateful, thinking that this album would be reaching evers a little later than it should have.

but i also feel proud in that regard, because i know that you had also been hoping for something like a diary filled with many traces of me. as you know, rather than focusing on whether my sincerity reaches you, i focus more on giving you joy. the reason, as you know, is that i made this album hoping that everything you see and hear through your eyes and ears in the music and on stage would be felt instinctively.

my motto, which i want to carry with me as i continue living my life both as evan and the person lee heeseung, is “let’s give happiness.”

even if the starting point of my music is sadness, anger, and frustration, i want it to ultimately give you the strength to have hope and move forward. i’m continuing my musical activities because i want many people to feel the good energy that comes bursting out from within my own heart.
