The June issue of Emmy Magazine includes a write up on Heated Rivalry's Television Academy Honors and a full-page ad from Crave congratulating the production on the recognition:
"The macho, hypercompetitive world of ice hockey would seem an unlikely and unwelcoming arena for an athlete to admit he's gay.
In fact, the world of professional sports doesn't offer much space for LGBTQ representation - and that's a problem.
The Television Academy honors Heated Rivalry, a Crave Original on HBO Max - a show that, while laced with some steamy sex scenes, nevertheless reflects the true challenges such athletes face as they strive to be their authentic selves."
