Stallman popularized the idea of celebrating Grav-mass. On December 25 every year, in honor of the birthday of the English physicist Isaac Newton, adherents of Grav-mass hang apples on trees to remind of the circumstances that helped Newton realize gravity.
Stallman inspired thousands of developers to create the GNU operating system. Among them was Linus Torvalds, a Linux kernel developer. Operating systems with this kernel are often called Linux, although Stallman considers this incorrect.
According to the compilers of the #TIOBE Programming Languages index, #Python is the most popular programming language of 2022.
