With Anthropic, their rules just lead to stupid conflict. It's a train wreck in slow motion.

@system_monarch Measure first: EXPLAIN (ANALYZE, BUFFERS) on a 5k-follow user. Odds are it's fan-out on read, 5k index probes plus a sort. Fix: hybrid fan-out (push for normal users, pull for celebs).
